Seasonal Party Dresses For Everyone

amomentwithfranca · 20 December 2018 · 7 Comments

One of the nicest things about this time of year is the number of parties you get invited to. It could be a drink in a classy bar with your friends, the office party or a full-blown New Year’s Eve celebration.

Regardless, of what type of party or special occasion you typically get invited to, you are going to need a nice party dress, or two, to wear. So, I thought you would find a quick party dress roundup of use.

Give buying your party dress online a go

If you have never bought a special dress online, I would urge you to give it a try. You will be stunned by just how much more choice you get when you do. For example, Fashion World stock a range of party dresses in sizes between 8 and 36. Last time, I checked their site they had more than 300 different dresses for you to choose from and that is just one retailer.

Something glittery

One of the main trends from last year’s party season was metallic dresses. These are still available, but it is really the sequined ones that are the main trend for this party season. They are absolutely everywhere. These gorgeous dresses are super glamorous, which makes them a particularly good option for a New Year’s party.

You will also notice that the golds and silvers of last year have given way to a warmer, more sophisticated colour palette. You will find some lovely pastel greens and reds as well as richer emerald and sky blue dresses available online and in the shops.

If you do opt for one of these shimmery numbers, you need to be careful not to overdo things. It is best not to wear a sequined jacket as well and to minimise the amount of jewellery you wear.

A classy black dress

Of course, the little black dress is still very much on trend. No fashion collection would be complete without at least one or two being included. You are sure to like the detailed black dresses a lot of fashion designers have experimented with for 2018/19. They are available in luxury fabrics like velvet and lace. But, if you want, you can opt for one that is made from a more day to day fabric. If you do this, you can easily wear your little black dress later in the year for something like a romantic meal.

Animal print dresses

If you are looking for something that is fun, take a look at some of the animal print dresses that are available. They look really good when worn with some bold jewellery, a wide belt and a nice pair of heels.

Asymmetrical dresses

One of the most interesting looks of this year is the asymmetrical dress. They look refreshingly different and many of them are very stylish, sophisticated and glamorous. This article explains how to find one that will suit you and flatter your body type.

If none of the above ideas appeals, you just need to click here. When you do, you will be taken to my dresses category page. From there, you can easily read some of my other dress-related articles.

Are you ready for the party season? Do you have your dress already?

I don’t wear dresses as I’m not confident in them at all but I love the look of that black dress.
