St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse Review

amomentwithfranca · 11 May 2018 · 23 Comments

If you have seen my social media channels lately, you will know by now that I have been testing one of the latest St Tropez tanning products. They have a huge variety of products for you to choose from so you will always find the one that is just right for you. In this post, I will talk about St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse.

I really love the feel of being tanned! I used to be tanned quite a lot when I was living in Peru. You have more sunny months there than here so you can imagine how obsessive people can be about being tanned there. Obviously getting a natural tan was much easier. Now that I am here in the UK this has completely changed. There aren’t as many sunny months here so its difficult to get and stay naturally tanned. I had to find other alternatives for tanning as its not practical to rely on travelling all the time looking for sun although I wish I could, LOL!

ABOUT

St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse

St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse is a unique streak-free mousse that is applied directly to dry skin for just one minute before showering as normal. Tan Enhancers allow the Vegan-friendly and 100% naturally derived DHA to penetrate the surface of the skin deeper and faster, for a quick, natural-looking glow which will gradually develop over the next 8 hours.

The luxurious foam has been enriched with nourishing Jojoba esters and Vitamin E for all-day moisturisation. The best part is that there is no transfer onto clothes or bedsheets, and no tell-tale tan smell so can be worn morning or night.

AMAZING ST TROPEZ EVENT

Check a collage of photos below of the fabulous St Tropez event that I attended where they launched their 3 latest products. And of course, one of them was St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse.

KEY FEATURES

  • The quickest way to tan
  • Apply to dry skin and shower off after just 1 minute
  • A subtle golden glow from day 1
  • Reapply daily or leave on for longer for a deeper glow
  • Streak-free and easy to apply with or without a mitt
  • Easily fits into your daily regime and ideal for a subtle year-round glow every day

How to apply

Step 1: Apply to dry skin in circular motions, using the light sheen to guide you.
Step 2: Wait 1 minute.
Step 3: Shower as normal.
Step 4: Your natural, sunkissed glow will gradually develop over 8 hours.
Step 5: Reapply daily or as desired to build your depth of tan.

St Tropez sent me their Gradual Tan One Minute Pre Shower Mousse, to try at home and to show you how I feel and what results I have. I have done this and I have seen how the tan has gradually improved which I was very surprised to see.

This mousse should bring a gradual glow to my skin from day 1 to day 3. So it is not an instant result. You have to wait a few days in order to start seeing some tan. I also think that it depends on people skin as there are people whose pigmentation is easier and quicker to tan. I think I am that kind of person.

See below my daily thoughts about this product as well as 3 short videos that I have embedded from Facebook. You can also see shorter videos on my Instagram Feed.

DAY ONE

I learnt through this first application that the St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse is so easy to use. You just have to apply it, wait 1 minute and then shower, get dry and then change! I felt much better after applying it. I was able to see a subtle glow and that was very reassuring.

You can apply it with a mitt or without one. I went to a St Tropez event just before I started trying this new product and they gave me a lovely velvet mitt which I have been using for every application. I personally would recommend you to use a mitt. I think it is tidier that way and keeps your hands clean.

Before applying the product for the first time

It took about 5 to 8 minutes to apply the product to all of my body including my face but I was in no rush so you could find you can manage it much quicker. You should then wait one minute before taking a shower. I actually waited a little bit longer (about 3 minutes) as the product says that you can stay longer if you would like a darker colour.

The photo was taken after applying it and having a shower

I then showered, doing everything: washed and conditioned my hair, washed out the product and put soap. I was very curious to know if after doing this, I was still going to get a glow. I was very happy to see that I did have a little glow to start with. You are supposed to wait at least 8 hours before seeing results.

DAY TWO

24 hrs after the first application I then repeated the process for the second application. I did everything exactly the same as the day before. The only different thing I did this time was that I left the mousse on my body for longer because I was distracted doing something else. It was on me for about 6 minutes and then I jumped into the shower.

Before applying the product for the second time

Applying the product

This was taken after applying it and having a shower on day two

I washed everything off and I must say that I felt my skin was so soft like silk. I really felt great on my second day. The tan was showing a lot and it was definitely glowing. You were able to see a difference already. I love that everything is not messy at all to do which is one of the things that normally puts me off buying self-tanning products. Another interesting thing is that you won’t experience any staining on your clothes or sheets. This is a fantastic advantage when compared with other tanning products.

DAY THREE

After my 3rd application I feel amazing! The best thing of all is that it has definitely boosted my confidence! I feel like I have just come back from a beach holiday! How cool is that? And it only took me a few minutes each day over 3 days to achieve this! This is fantastic for busy parents!

Applying the product for the third time

The photo was taken after applying it and having a shower

Can you see the difference from day 1 to day 3?

PRICE & WHERE TO BUY

St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse has an RRP of £14.40 and it is available from all major retail outlets including Boots and Superdrug.

MY THOUGHTS

After trying this product for a week, I can say that I am still very happy and excited with this self-tanning mousse. I love that it is so easy and quick to use. Just apply, wait 1 minute and then shower and finally dry off! Simple as that!

Easy and quick! Perfect for busy mornings before you go to work. You can also apply it in the evening or whenever you fancy as long as you take a shower after. This product has a lovely scent too which is a great feature for me.

There is no mess and I don’t feel sticky at all because I take a shower after applying it and my skin feels fresh and silky. I was so surprised to find a self-tanning that would also moisturise my skin and the best part is that there is no tan smell. It actually smells very nice which is very pleasant! I was very happy with that.

I am very pleased with it and highly recommend it! It’s a thumbs up from me!

Do you like applying tanning creams? If you are a busy person, will this quick and easy product be the solution for you too? What do you think of my results?

*Disclosure: This is a collaboration with St Tropez. I received the St Tropez Gradual Tan 1 Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse to try and document it on my social media and blog. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

I’ve never actually tried a tanning cream – probably a hangover from my teenage goth phase – but the results look really natural! I like that it’s so stress free too, I always worry that it would be really messy. #KCACOLS

I like the idea that you wash it off as the one thing I hate about self tan lotions is the need to walk around for 20 minutes with minimal clothing on until it feels like it’s sunk in! Looks great and cheaper than a return flight to Peru. (which is an amazing place – I travelled for 6 months in SA)l

You actually can tell the difference Franca! I admit to being a bit sceptical of self-tanning but they’ve come a long way since I tried them and i love that this looks natural with no streaks. The mitt sound effective too. Maybe I’ll give it a go… Thanks for hosting #kcacols

Wow, it looks amazing! I used to use st tropez in my pre child days when I actually had time (and money!!) to spend on myself, but actually you’ve made me realise that it’s time to get back to making myself feel good again! Def will be fake tanning this year! #KCACOLS

This looks and sounds incredible and the price is appealing too. I don’t mind the smell of fake tan too much but it’s a giveaway isn’t it. I hate the idea of transfer onto an expensive dress or ruining my whites so it sounds like it ticks all the boxes. #KCACOLS

I’ve never actually used a self tanning product – I’m one of those people who goes brown as soon as the sun comes out so it’s never really occurred to me! #KCACOLS

✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9.
