I hope you’re all enjoying the Easter holidays. I know I am! I spent the morning with my daughter, Sienna, watching the new Super Mario Bros movie.

My daughter Sienna, who is eight years old, is a fan of the Super Mario Bros games, especially Mario Kart, so she was really excited to see the movie. I wasn’t sure at first, because some video game movies aren’t necessarily the best. But I’m so glad we went!

The movie stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad.

The movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, and it is produced by Chris Meledandri and Shigeru Miyamoto.

The movie follows the story of Mario and Luigi, two plumbers who are transported to the Mushroom Kingdom, a magical land that is inhabited by talking animals and other creatures. Mario and Luigi must team up with Princess Peach and their friends to defeat Bowser and save the Mushroom Kingdom.

Our Thoughts

The movie was actually really good! It was funny, action-packed, and faithful to the games. Chris Pratt was perfect as Mario, and Anya Taylor-Joy was great as Princess Peach. The rest of the cast was also really good.

Sienna loved the movie! She laughed and cheered the whole time. She even asked me if we could go see it again soon.

I highly recommend the new Super Mario Bros movie to anyone who is a fan of the games or just looking for a fun family movie to watch at the cinema during the Easter holiday. You won’t be disappointed!

Here are some of the things that we liked about the movie:

• The cast was great. Chris Pratt was perfect as Mario, and Anya Taylor-Joy was great as Princess Peach. The rest of the cast was also really good. Chris Pratt brought his usual charm and humor to the role of Mario, and Anya Taylor-Joy was perfect as the kind and gentle Princess Peach. The rest of the cast was also excellent, with Charlie Day giving a hilarious performance as Luigi, Jack Black being suitably manic as Bowser, and Seth Rogen being suitably gruff as Donkey Kong.
• The movie was funny. There were a lot of funny moments that made me laugh out loud. The movie was full of clever jokes and gags that were sure to please fans of the game series. Some of the funniest moments included Mario and Luigi’s interactions with the Goombas, Bowser’s attempts to kidnap Peach, and Donkey Kong’s love of bananas.
• The movie was action-packed. There were a lot of exciting scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat. Some of the most exciting scenes included Mario and Luigi’s escape from the Goombas, Bowser’s attack on Peach’s castle, and Donkey Kong’s fight against the Koopa Troopas.
• The movie was faithful to the games. The characters, the setting, and the overall story were all very similar to the games with Mario and Luigi being plumbers from Brooklyn, Peach being the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, and Bowser being the evil king of the Koopa Troopas.

Overall, both Sienna and I really enjoyed the new Super Mario Bros movie. It was a fun, family-friendly movie that I would definitely recommend.
