The Where Is Peter Rabbit Show At Theatre Royal

amomentwithfranca · 22 April 2019 · 7 Comments

We love to watch shows together as a family. My girls love, especially Bella, love to watch the shows and follow the story. We have seen a lot of shows and it is one of our favourite things to do together. We were super excited to be invited along to the premiere of the new Where is Peter Rabbit Show at Theatre Royal, Haymarket in Piccadilly Circus.

It was a red carpet event and Nick met us there so we could all watch it together. There were so many photographers there and we also got to meet Peter Rabbit too. Sienna gave him the biggest hug. It was so cute.

What Is The Where Is Peter Rabbit Show?

Based on the original tales of Beatrix Potter, ‘Where is Peter Rabbit?’ brings your favourite characters to life on stage. With handcrafted puppets, original songs and a sprinkling of magic, the show is perfect for all ages to entertain and delight the whole family.

With voiceovers from BAFTA Award-Winning Miriam Margolyes and Olivier Award-Winning Griff Rhys Jones. The show has 14 delightful songs performed live with lyrics by Olivier Award-Winning Griff Rhys Jones.

What We Thought Of The Where Is Peter Rabbit Show

The girls love Peter Rabbit so they were very excited but Sienna was even more as I think it was perfect for her age. She was really looking forward to the show.

The show only lasts 1 hr so it is perfect for little ones. The age recommended is 3 years and up. I think a younger child could perhaps get tired or maybe a little bored sitting still for the whole show. The show is beautiful. The show uses puppets which were very cute. They incorporated some of Beatrix Potter’s classic stories and used the same characters of course. It was all very well made.

The set was lovely. It really transports you into that magical world of Beatrix Potter. My girls really enjoyed the Jemima Puddleduck character. Her singing and acting were on point. Very well done. Also, Mr McGregor got my girls attention. It is also funny when he keeps trying to catch Peter Rabbit because he is always after his veggies.

There is just one part that we thought was a little bit too long. It was when Beatrix Potter was telling a very long story. It was very interesting but nothing was going on around so I think some little kids were getting restless but this was then quickly picked up by some puppetry. That is the only part I thought perhaps my youngest daughter Sienna got a little tired but despite that, they both loved the show. My girls were very impressed, especially Bella who surprised me but she was super concentrated following the stories.

Overall it was a lovely show that will keep your kids very entertained. It is a great way to spend some time as a family. The cast and the whole production of this show were fantastic. We highly recommend it.

Do your kids love Peter Rabbit?

*Disclosure: We were invited to watch this show for the purpose of this review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

This looks beautiful and sounds like a great experience. If we were to go, I’d probably have preferred if there was an interval, but I guess if we made sure to book end of row seats we could always sneak out for a bit if necessary x #KCACOLS

Oh, I love going to the theater! I haven’t been able to go in a few years but as soon as my health allows, it is one of the first things on my list!
