#KCACOLS – 19th March 2017

amomentwithfranca · 18 March 2017 · 10 Comments

Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you all had 2 fantastic weeks. We did GREAT with 106 link ups! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky in the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

kcacols700x400

I had 2 fun and busy weeks. I think March is picking up in terms of events as I have more compared with the previous month. My girls were both healthy and back to their happy selves so it was fun to attend some of them. I went to the launch of the new Regatta Spring collection. I really love this brand so it was great to see their new range. We are massive fans! On International Women’s Day, I went to a fancy Nordic afternoon tea at Aster Restaurant in London, Victoria. I had a really lovely time there. I’m linking up my post so you can read all about it. We were also invited to a dance event which was really cool. My girls loved it! Also, last weekend we went to Willows Activity Farm for their Peter the Rabbit anniversary party celebrating 1 year since the launch of their themed playground. It was really cool! My girls had the best day ever!

We were also filming a video for Mother’s Day in collaboration with Mumsnet and Lidl. OMG, you are not going to believe how hard it was to film a more structured video with the girls! It took a lot of time and we had to re-film a lot too. We managed to get it all done though and apparently the video should be ready next week. We are really looking forward to seeing it and I will be sure to share it too! One of the highlights of the last 2 weeks was getting to review a washing machine and a tumble dryer from the latest AEG range! Whoo hoo! I am not going to lie, these are the things that make me love my job even more! Yay!

Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. There are now 5,247 photos! Yay! It is lovely to see all your photos there! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! As I mentioned bmefore, I am featuring 2 photos from the community that have caught my eye since the last link up.

This time I’m featuring photos by:

  1.  KIM from Odd Hogg

KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP

THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

NOW BACK TO THE LINKY

I was hoping that the commenting was going to be better this week as we had fewer link ups but unfortunately, I was wrong as we had a bigger list of posts still needing more. By Thursday this week, we had about 47 posts that needed more comments and by Friday night this number was reduced to 21. We had about 24 people that hadn’t commented on the post linked up before theirs on Thursday but this was reduced to 10 by Friday night. Today, I reminded people about commenting again and that number has been reduced a lot! Lots of comments are still in moderation but I know for sure all posts had a minimum of 3 comments. I’m not sure if about 12 posts reached 4 comments as I can’t see if the comments still need approval. But I’m happy that all had 3 comments. That is still great for 106 link ups! Yay!

DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE NEW CHANGES TO THE LINKY

The linky is a fortnightly linky. It will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

The rules will be the same, the only difference is the amount of time that the linky will be open for. The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.

I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.

LINKY TWEETS

I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. And of course, I will email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!

Tweet Me!

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • I am not pushing for the 4 comments per post anymore. I will keep showing a list of posts that have fewer comments on my Thank You email to encourage people to comment more on those but after that, I will not keep asking. It will be lovely if we can get a minimum of 2 comments per post but of course, we should be aiming for more.
  • To approve your comments and check your SPAM folders (this is such a HUGE problem for me as it keeps being part of why I can’t have a current list as I know for sure lots of posts have comments that have not been approved yet)
  • I’m expecting a minimum of 5 comments per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts and the post before yours) and if you link up 2 posts I would expect 6 comments as a minimum per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts, the posts before yours and 1 more )
  • To comment on the post before yours. If you have any problems commenting on the post before yours please just send me a message and I will do my best to help.
  • If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous with each other and spreading lots of love.
  • Do not link up and run.
  • Do not forget to add the linky badge.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:

PLEASE START with commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

MONTHLY GUEST CO-HOST

Please give her social media accounts some love (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@mumsthewordblog) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Amelia’s 2 Year Update linked up too. If you could please go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3

FeaturedPost_MummyToDex

The person who commented the most this last link up was NICOLA from Mummy To Dex. I’m super excited to have a new linker at the top of the commenting. This is the first time that Nicola is joining us and she has done an amazing job. She has commented a whopping number of 88 posts! Thank you so much, NICOLA! One of her posts from last week was BLW// 8 Must-Have Products. Please visit her post and give her more love if you can.

FeaturedPost_MakingHerMama0317

The second person who commented a lot was NADINE from Making Her Mama. She is again back within the top 3 commenters! It is lovely to see how much love she likes to spread within the linky! She commented on 27 posts! Thank you so much, NADINE!

FeaturedPost_ThisGloriousLife

The third person who commented a lot was MADELINE from This Glorious Life. She did it again! Yay! I love seeing Madeline in the top 3! How nice is it that she always takes the time to comment so much!  She is amazing! She has commented on 27 posts! Thank you so much, MADELINE! One of her posts from last week was, Try this one little trick when your child is sad or worried. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can.

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6

Behind Nicole, Nadine, and Madeline were BECKY from Educating Roversi with 26 comments, ALI from Ali’s Upside Down World with 24 comments and then I have a tide with 22 comments by CASSIE from Gorgeous George Mama and LISA from Pass the Prosecco Please. Thank you so much, lovely ladies!!! 🙂

For this week’s linky I am linking up #NORDICTEA at Aster for International Women’s Day and Homewings Design Bar Event so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

[do_widget id=”text-21″ title=false]

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

NEW RULES:

Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT within the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned on my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on:

  • one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
  • the monthly guest co-host post.
  • the guest co-hosts posts.
  • the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
  • and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.

That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, Maria @suburb4nmum, Rachel @ordinaryhopes and Amie @mumsthewordblog and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest , Bloglovin, Google+ and YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting your posts!! 🙂

FYI the link for Mums the Word Pinterest and Instagram is not working when I try it. Tried the Instagram link on her blog page too and it didn’t work and I couldn’t find a Pinterest link on the blog page to try it. Don’t know if it’s just me?

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you?
