Have you ever wanted to hire a professional interior designer to help redecorate a specific room of your home, but your dream was crushed or didn’t get off the ground because you couldn’t afford it? Well, now thanks to Homewings this is now possible! It is an online interior design platform for everyone! You will be able to afford talented professional designers who will redecorate your living room, dining room or bedroom and turn it into your dream space. I’m so excited to tell you all about it!
Homewings recently invited me to a fun design bar event in Shoreditch, London to introduce their great new concept. Homewings is an interior design service that brings great interior design to everyone. They are on a mission to make professional interior design accessible, affordable and fun for everyone.
Cornelia De Ruiter, co-founder and talented designer, gave us a lovely introduction to Homewings. She told us about their ethos and that she and all her team believe that you don’t have to be a design savvy millionaire to feel connected to your space and the impact it has on you and other people. She was so passionate about it. It was lovely to see!
It was very interesting to hear from all the team at Homewings. It is very clear that times have changed. We are now in the 21st century and everything is now done online. Homewings has captured that idea and has used it to their favour. They realise that this is how things work now and have found a way to reach and help more people using the technology.
Once on their website, they will match people with an interior designer perfect for that person. The designer will create the concept and complete it with a shopping list and instructions on how to turn it into reality.
They offer 3 packages for room design: basic for as little as £149, classic for £199 and premium for £349. Each package covered the following:
- Basic – Style board and tailored furniture recommendations to get you started
- Classic – Full design service from great designers at a best possible price
- Premium – Full design service for those who want to work only with their most senior designers
DESIGNING YOUR DREAM ROOM – HOW DOES THIS WORK?
The Room Design package is a 4 stage process:
- You get online and tell Homewings about your style and taste
- Based on this information you will get matched with a designer who will be perfect for your project
- You will be working with your designer and a room concept will be built after this
- Finally, your Room Design Package is ready which includes a room layout and clickable shopping list
BAR DESIGNED EVENT
After meeting the team and learning how Homewings works, we then had the opportunity for a one to one session with an experienced designer to talk about a specific room in our homes.
I was very lucky as I got Cornelia. We talked about a room in my house that I want to redecorate. As you probably know because I have mentioned it a few times now, this room is my girl’s room. I showed her how it looks currently and explained to her what I was looking to achieve.
One of the main things I want to do is get a bunk bed, so we discussed that. She showed me different options and also ideas for the bedroom. It was really nice to get some feedback from her. I also got the opportunity to ask her more questions about Homewings and their website.
I was very intrigued as to how it worked. So she kindly did a “guided tour” of how the whole process works. It is actually very easy and simple. You get to discuss every single stage with your appointed designer. The software they use has been set up so you are completely involved in the whole process. You can make comments with each suggestion and decide to give it a thumbs up or down. I really like how it works. I’m very into technology so for me, this was a great way to visualise your dream room.
After our chat, we were all offered some drinks and nibbling. It was all really nicely setup and the team that we met were very welcoming and warm. I felt very comfortable. The venue was very cool too.
I was really impressed with this company. Overall, I thought their concept was amazing. I like the idea that hiring an interior designer can be accessible. They also give opportunities to many new talented interior designers who received no commission for their designs which make this service even more impartial. And the best of all is that it is done online so it will save you so much of your time which we all know is precious.
And I have saved the best for last. Would you like to try Homewings’s services? You can get 20% off on any design package using the code HOMEDESIGN20. So what are you waiting for? I would like to say THANK YOU so much to all the team at Homewings. I got great tips and left the event very inspired! They also have a fantastic magazine where you can get lost with all their amazing interior photos, fabulous transformations and super helpful tips!

What a brilliant idea – I think we all just assume that getting an interior designer will cost a huge amount but doing it this way doesn’t at all. We’re all living such busy lives that it’s very tempting to get your own designer and tell them what you’re looking for, then get their ideas. I have pretty eclectic taste in my house so not sure how it would work for me, and I like to source my own things, but I’d definitely think about it for the future.#KCACOLS
