Why Do So Many People Want To Travel To Bali?

Bali is a small island in Indonesia that is well-known for its stunning beaches, lush jungle, and vibrant culture. It is often referred to as the “Island of the Gods” and it’s easy to see why!

Despite its reputation as a luxury destination, Bali is actually very affordable to visit. With a little planning, you can easily find ways to save money and enjoy all that the island has to offer without spending a fortune.

Here are 4 tips for travelling to Bali on a budget:

1. Look for Deals on Flights and Accommodation

The first step to take when planning a trip to Bali is to look for deals on flights and accommodation. There are many websites that offer great discounts, so be sure to do your research before booking anything.

You can also save money by travelling during the shoulder season (the months of April and October) when there are fewer tourists. If you’re flexible with your travel dates, you can also take advantage of last-minute deals. Many airlines and hotels offer discounts on last-minute bookings, so it’s always worth checking to see if there are any special offers available.

2. Eat Local Food

One of the best ways to save money while travelling is to eat like a local. Bali has some of the best food in Indonesia, and you can find affordable meals at street stalls and warungs (local restaurants).

Eating local food is not only cheaper, but it also allows you to experience the true culture of the country. Be sure to try some of the traditional dishes such as nasi goreng (fried rice), satay (skewered meat), and gado-gado (vegetable salad with peanut sauce).

If you’re staying in a hotel or resort, take advantage of the breakfast buffet. Many hotels include breakfast in the room rate, so you might as well make the most of it!

And speaking of hotels, be sure to check if your hotel offers any discounts or coupons for local restaurants. Many hotels partner with nearby restaurants and offer guests special discounts.

3. Plan Your Activities in Advance

One of the biggest expenses when travelling is entrance fees for attractions and activities. To save money, it’s best to plan your activities in advance and look for discounts.

Many attractions offer discounts for online bookings, so be sure to book ahead of time. You can also find discounted tickets by checking with your hotel or resort, as they often have special rates for guests.

If you’re flexible with your schedule, you can also take advantage of happy hours and other specials at local bars and restaurants. Many establishments offer discounts on food and drinks during certain hours, so it’s a great way to save money if you’re willing to be flexible with your plans.

4. Use Public Transportation

Getting around Bali is easy and affordable, thanks to the island’s excellent public transportation system. The main form of public transportation is the bemo, which is a small van that travels set routes around the island.

Fares are very cheap, and you can usually just pay the driver when you get on (no need to buy a ticket in advance).

Another option is to rent a motorbike, which is a great way to explore the island at your own pace. Just be sure to wear a helmet and drive safely!

If you’re planning on doing some shopping, remember that most shops will offer free delivery if you spend a certain amount of money. This is a great way to save money on transportation costs, and it’s also convenient if you’re planning on buying a lot of souvenirs.

Don’t forget to convert your money to Indonesian Rupiah before you travel. The currency is not widely accepted outside of Bali, so it’s best to have all of your money converted before you arrive. Crown Currency Exchange can help you with all your currency needs.

Bottom Line

Travelling to Bali doesn’t have to break the bank. You just have to be a little bit creative with your spending. With the four budget tips above, you’ll be able to save money and still have an amazing time in Bali!
