Have you been looking for ways to get your kids excited about cooking and healthy eating? Or perhaps you want to do fun and useful activities at home with your kids? Well, stop looking because I have a solution for you! And it is Carrot Kitchen App! My girls have been trying this app and have had so much fun cooking yummy recipes.
AD – Paid Collaboration with Carrot Kitchen
I am not very good at cooking. Luckily for me, Nick not only enjoys cooking but he is actually very good at it. And it looks like the girls have inherited his skills as they are quite good too, especially Bella. So Carrot Kitchen is perfect for them. Bella is 11 years old now so she cooked a proper meal for us with hardly any supervision while Sienna who is 7 years old cooked a quick dessert for us instead.
ABOUT CARROT KITCHEN
Bella showing the recipe from Carrot Kitchen app that she was going to cook
Carrot Kitchen is a new cooking app that you download for free to your mobile. It inspires and encourages children to learn how to cook. It has Tasty and healthy recipes and skill videos, designed by food education experts which enable a fun and safe cooking hobby in the child’s own home.
The app is very cool as it has a game-like cooking experience that encourages kids to try new flavours and ingredients. This is a lot of fun for kids.
Carrot Kitchen app is aimed at kids aged 6 to 13 years old but I think younger kids can also get involved if they have help from parents.
CARROT KITCHEN CARES ABOUT A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Bella showing all the ingredients she needed to prepare her dish
Carrot Kitchen App has a safe environment as they care about safety skills providing kids with videos of how to handle cooking equipment as well as teaching them cooking skills such as how to use a scale, an oven or a blender, how to chop with a knife as well as how to measure ingredients. They also encourage kids to clean and tidy while they are waiting for the food to be cooked which is great!
It has step-by-step recipe videos that help kids to cook independently. This is so helpful as I personally think that visualising the process helps a lot to understand what to do. This is helpful even for adults as I am not a good cook so I thought this was great for me too!
CARROT KITCHEN OFFERS MONTHLY CHILDPROOF RECIPE PACKS
Bella watching the step by step video instructions
You will get monthly recipe packs, so kids at all skill levels will find something nutritious and yummy to cook every month.
They offer cooking themes including snacks, main courses, a dessert or baking recipe as well as reward recipes when the child completes cooking challenges, which will be added to the monthly pack, depending on how much the child cooks and learns new skills.
CARROT KITCHEN GAME-LIKE COOKING EXPERIENCE
Bella moving the spaghetti. It is almost done!
Kids earn points from every cooked recipe to increase their Chef level. They can easily follow their own progress through the app, and gain points and rewards while learning new skills. The more they cook, the more points they get. How cool is that?

OUR THOUGHTS
Bella is so happy with the results
Bella cooked One-pot Spaghetti Bolognese which has a Pro level so, it was right for her age. She really enjoyed going through each step and she said she found the videos easy to follow. She did pretty much all the cooking herself. She only needed a bit of help with preparing some of the ingredients and checking if the dish was ready. This meal was so tasty and the final meal looked amazing too!

Sienna is so happy with the results
Sienna was in charge of the dessert and prepared a Microwavable Chocolate Cake in A Mug. As I mentioned before she is only 7 so she picked something quick and easy which had an Easy level. She needed more supervision but overall the video instructions are self-explanatory, so it was easier to follow each step for her too.
Check out this Instagram REEL of Bella cooking her One-pot Spaghetti Bolognese dish! This way you can see how cool this app is!
This is a great app to have for your kids or even to get as a gift for someone special. It could be a great gift idea for Christmas for example or a birthday!

Love this, I was told the other day that I don’t let my children cook by themselves enough. 5 kids in a kitchen on their own? Maybe I need a little more faith in them. HAHA. This app looks like a great way to start! How clever. #KCACOLS

That is really adorable! I wonder if it would really work to get my picky eater (autism) to try new things…LOL! Unlikely he’d like them even if he tried. But it is super cute way to get kids in the kitchen. #KCACOLS
