Step right up! That’s exactly how it felt the moment we arrived at Come Alive! The Greatest Showman— like we were stepping into a dream world where music, magic, and circus energy collide.
I was invited to see the evening performance in London, and after watching the trailer, I was already intrigued. It promised a mix of The Greatest Showman-style spectacle with live vocals, dancers, and circus acts… and honestly, it delivered that and more.
Come Alive! The Greatest Showman London Review – A Magical Circus Experience
Arriving & Pre-Show Experience
As soon as we arrived at the Empress Museum, you could spot the giant signage and bright lights in the distance — it instantly set the mood. The whole setup felt so exciting and vibrant, and the atmosphere only got better once we stepped inside.
The first thing that caught my eye? The bar right at the entrance (always a good sign, right?). Everyone seemed in great spirits, chatting, laughing, and snapping photos. There were themed props and a few performers already mingling with the crowd, giving us a taste of what was to come.
I loved how immersive it all felt, even before the show began. You could grab a drink, take photos, or people-watch — there was a real buzz in the air. The pre-show performers added that extra sprinkle of magic, making you feel part of something special from the very start. It honestly felt like stepping right into the circus world.
Inside the Big Tent – The Show Begins
Once inside the Big Tent, the seating was tight but cosy — close to the stage, which meant every act was in full view. The tent was packed, the lights dimmed, and the energy just lifted.
That night, Jimmy Wong was performing as the Ringmaster instead of Kai Hou, and he did a great job. But one of the highlights for me was seeing Simon Bailey back as The Showman — his presence, voice, and energy were electric.
I was also really impressed by Anoushka Tandon-Sangar, who plays Max. She brought such a lovely mix of innocence and confidence to the role — you could really feel her excitement on stage, which made her performance so enjoyable to watch.
Every act flowed beautifully into the next — singing, dancing, aerial performances — all executed with such precision and flair. The entire cast gave their all, and it showed. It was impossible not to clap, smile, and feel completely caught up in the magic of it all.
Interval & Second Half
After a short 15–20 minute break (perfect time for another drink and a quick stretch), the second half picked up right where it left off — full of energy and fun.
What I loved most was how interactive it became. The audience clapped along, sang a bit, and even danced in their seats. It’s not one of those shows where you just sit quietly — it’s lively, joyful, and completely contagious.
And despite all the lights, sound, and spectacle, it still manages to feel family-friendly. There were children, teens, parents, and couples — everyone having the best time.
Final Thoughts
By the end of the night, we were all grinning from ear to ear. Come Come Alive! The Greatest Showman is such a feel-good, high-energy experience that makes you forget about everything else for 100 minutes. It’s joyful, uplifting, and just a brilliant night out.
If you’re in London and looking for something different to do with your family — or even as a date night — I can’t recommend it enough. Definitely book ahead, though; it’s the kind of show that deserves a full tent every night. Tickets do sell fast, so booking in advance is definitely recommended.
