Disney Beauty And The Beast Belle Dolls

amomentwithfranca · 20 April 2017 · Leave a Comment

You are not going to imagine how much anticipation we had at home when we found out that Hasbro would be sending us the latest Beauty and the Beast Belle dolls to review! This is one of my favourite Disney movies as Belle is such a fearless character with so much personality! And of course, I love the name as it is the French equivalent of my daughter Bella’s name! So there were so many reasons why both, Bella and I were really looking forward to reviewing these dolls.

Bella and I have been dying to watch the movie since it was released but for one reason or another, we were unable to watch it as soon as it came out. I promised her we would go and watch it together during her holidays but then Sienna was a little unwell and we had to cancel our planned mummy-daughter date. Bella was very upset as she really wanted to see the movie, so over the long Easter holiday weekend, I surprised her and took her to the movies to see it!

She was so happy and excited to finally get to see it. She loved it and enjoyed the whole 2 hrs and 20 minutes without any complaints. It is actually quite a long movie but it is so well made that it really keeps you entertained. She is a big fan of Emma Watson as she has followed her character Hermione in the Harry Potter movies. We recently visited the WB Studio Tours in London too so she was very happy to see Emma Watson in action and learnt all about her and her character. She was really looking forward to watching Emma in this new film. Of course, it is a totally different character but there are some similarities as there is still this beautiful girl which has no fear of anything and she is always looking forward to following her dreams.

We both really enjoyed the movie. I was surprised that Emma actually sang all the songs too. I wasn’t expecting it but it was a nice surprise. I think she did a great job. So in anticipation of our trip to the movies, Bella was ready to open her dolls and have a little play with them.

We were super lucky as we received 3 different dolls! We got The Beauty and the Beast Village Dress Belle, Enchanting Ball Gown Belle and Enchanting Melodies Belle doll. They all have different features and something new to offer. All 3 dolls are the same size as a Barbie.

Storyline

In the small provincial town of Villeneuve, Disney’s independent Belle wants more out of life than the village can offer. But when her father is taken prisoner by Disney’s monstrous Beast, she takes his place to set him free and finds herself in the midst of a mysterious enchantment, unlike anything she could ever have imagined.

The Beauty and the Beast Village Dress Belle

The Beauty and the Beast Village Dress Belle wears her village dress inspired by the live-action movie and comes with a pair of removable shoes. The doll has a blue village dress with red sash.

It has a slight look of Emma Watson and the features are quite realistic. It is not the prettiest doll as I think Emma Watson is prettier in reality but it is well-made. Bella really liked the idea of playing with it and dreaming a little bit about the movie. She has watched the original cartoon Disney movie several times so she knows this outfit is from when Belle was living in the village.

Enchanting Ball Gown Belle

Disney’s Belle is radiant with beauty and bravery in her sparkling gown as she descends the grand staircase, entering the enchanted ballroom.

I like that she also got the doll with the beautiful gold gown so you can have the outfits of the most important moments from the movie. You can really notice lots of differences here.

This doll comes with a hair accessory, necklace, and removable shoes. Her dress is layered with glitter detailing. The doll has 9 points of articulation which makes playing even more fun. As you can imagine, this doll is a little bit more expensive than the other 2 dolls.

Enchanting Melodies Belle

Beauty and the Beast is a timeless tale with unforgettable music. Imagine a romance beyond words with the Enchanting Melodies Belle doll.

We were actually surprised when it started singing as we were not expecting it. This is the main difference between this doll and the Enchanting Ball Gown Belle doll because she is wearing the same movie-inspired golden gown on both.

You only need to press her stomach and the Belle doll sings “Something There” from Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast film. This is actually something that really caught Bella’s attention. She thought it was fun to press the button to listen to the music while she was making her dance.

This doll also comes with a removable pair of shoes and necklace. So Bella enjoyed swapping the clothes and accessories between each of the 3 dolls. This doll was the

Because of the little pieces (shoes and necklaces) in all the dolls, it is not recommended for children under 3 years old. Sienna was around whilst Bella was playing and we had to supervise and check that everything was okay for her. Sienna loves the singing doll so Bella gives this doll to her when they are playing together.

You can get these Belle dolls from Argos, Amazon or any good toy retailer. See Amazon details below:

Have you watched the Beauty and the Beast Movie? Did you like it? What do you think of these dolls?

Love you all ❤️

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so far? I am finally feeling more normal after the massive jetlag I had after my trip to South America. I am not sure why it hit me so much this time but it has taken me about two solid weeks to properly be back to my routine without feeling right. Waking up in the mornings was the worst. It was very hard, especially when I had to be on time for the school run! 😩.Anyway, everything feels better now! 😊.How long does it take you to be back to normal after a jetlag? Do you have any tricks or tips to speed this process? .📸 Selfy taken in Barranco, a lively district in Peru considered to be one of the most romantic and bohemian places to visit and being the home and working place of many Peruvian artists, musicians, designers, photographers among others 😎.#thisisme #selfie #instaselfie #smilemore #brunettehair #greeneyes #over40#over40blogger #overforty #overfortystyle #over40andfabulous #over40mom #outandabout #barrancolima

✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
