Hasbro Play-Doh Town Fire Truck Review

amomentwithfranca · 1 August 2016 · 2 Comments

I have mentioned before that we are very excited to be part of the Hasbro Toy Tribe. From the first 3 toys that we received I have already reviewed the Yo-Kai Watch and the Nerf Supersoaker Squall Surge Water Gun. In this post I will be reviewing their Play-Doh Town Fire Truck.

Bella was actually complaining recently that her latest play-doh pots were already dried up and that she needed replacements. It was therefore handy to know that this set comes with 3 new pots included for her to go crazy with, LOL! I say that because every time my daughter opens a play-doh pot, the first thing she does is to mix them all together and it just don’t stay in one colour anymore. I hate this but what can I do? This is the way she likes it despite having explained to her that it is better to keep the colours separated so it stays reusable for longer so she can do more things with it. She won’t listen of course, LOL!

When the parcel arrived, Bella was very excited of course. This was a fun toy to review, as anything Play-Doh related is a big hit at home. All kids love it so this one for sure was also great as Bella really enjoyed playing with it.

This set includes:

Play-Doh Fire Truck Box

  • Fire Truck with removable water cannon extruder
  • Firefighter figure with hat
  • Flame stamper
  • Axe
  • 3 pots of Play-Doh Brand Modeling Compound

The idea of the Play-Doh Town Fire Truck is that you can call the local Play-Doh Town firefighter and help him get to the rescue. There are so many things that your kids can do with this set. It is perfect to increase their imagination. Bella has played for hours with it and she just loves pushing all the play-doh through the pieces included. She really enjoyed inventing different adventures using the Fire Truck too.

Bella making the Hair

The Beard

One of the things that she really enjoyed doing was making an epic beard and colourful hair for the firefighter. This was very fun for her so she did that for a long time.

Your kids can also stack the house-themed Play-Doh pots to build an emergency scene. This was also a very cool feature together with the water cannon. She loved the idea of squirting Play-Doh water with it It was really fun to watch her play.

Bella using the Axe

The axe also fits in the firefighter’s hand to slice through the pretend flames and his feet stamp his moustache and badge. Bella used the axe not just for playing as a figure’s hand but also as a cutter. This was entertaining for her. She put some of the different coloured play-doh flat on the table and used the axe as a cutter.

This is a great toy for kids aged 3 plus. The first time we opened it, it was just Bella playing with it as I was worried about Sienna putting the Play-Doh in her mouth. We did include her in another moment but with close supervision as there are some small pieces. I had to keep explaining to Sienna that it was not food, LOL.

The Play-Doh Town Fire Truck is available from Amazon for £9.98 and also at most major toy retailers nationwide. You can also get the Play-Doh Town Firehouse, Play-Doh Town Ice Cream Truck and the Play-Doh Town Pet Store to make an awesome collection for your kids!

What do you think of the The Play-Doh Town Fire Truck? Would you let your kids try it too? Leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

*Disclosure: I received this toy as a member of Hasbro’s Toy Tribe in exchange for a blog post. However all the opinions and thoughts are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️
