#KCACOLS – 15th April 2018

amomentwithfranca · 14 April 2018 · 6 Comments

Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you are all well! We had 49 link ups last time! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky on the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

How are your holidays going? I am not going to lie, I have been enjoying the time with my eldest daughter (my youngest still goes to nursery) however 3 weeks off is way too long for me! I am now really looking forward to school starting again on Tuesday! What about you?

We had 2 busy weeks but especially because we have been visiting family. We went away 2 weekends in a row and it was super fun. My girls were so happy! We took our scooters with us so it was super cool to explore the area. I love the fresh air in the countryside! Bella and I attended a few events together which was lovely. We went to watch The Mousetrap which I can highly recommend you to go with your kids (age recommended is 7+). Bella loved it. We also went to Hamley’s store for a Luvabella event and lucky Bella got one to take home. She was over the moon! We then spent half of the day there learning about new toys.It is so much fun, you can stay there for hours! The only downside is that you then end up spending money! I told Bella that the things she got were towards her upcoming birthday, so it was all good! 🙂

Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. It is lovely to see your photos there! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! I am featuring 1 photo from the community that has caught my eye since the last link up. This time I’m featuring RUTH from Mummy and the Mexicans. See her photo below:

KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP

THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

NOTE: you can promote your posts and social channels there too because we host different threads to support each other so that is another reason to join us!

NOW BACK TO THE LINKY

We got 49 link ups this time. Not as much as the previous link ups but I won’t worry much as we are on Easter holidays at the moment so I suspect that we are all busy with the little ones around. We had about 8 posts that needed more commenting which actually got reduced to 2 posts by Friday morning. I was so excited about that. By Saturday we still had the same 2 posts but I am pretty sure it is because those posts will need some moderation. This means that we did a fantastic job this time with pretty much all posts getting more than 4 comments! Hurrah!

Regarding the people that have not commented the post before theirs, we got 9 people on Friday morning. By Saturday we managed to reduce this to 3 people which is fantastic! I think we have done a great job on this link up. Thank you all for being so generous with your comments! A lot of posts got a great number of comments which is lovely to see.

Also, remember to comment on the co-hosts posts. Please also be aware that I’m BLOCKING URLs/Emails of people that have joined the linky and have not commented on any posts for consecutive weeks. If you find I have blocked you by mistake, please contact me.

FORTNIGHTLY LINKY

The linky will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.

The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.

I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.

LINKY TWEETS

I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the KCACOLS Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. I will of course, email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!

Tweet Me!

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • I am not pushing for the 4 comments per post anymore. I will keep showing a list of posts that have fewer comments on my Thank You email to encourage people to comment more on those but after that, I will not keep asking. It will be lovely if we can get a minimum of 2 comments per post but of course, we should be aiming for more.
  • To approve your comments and check your SPAM folders (this is such a HUGE problem for me as it keeps being part of why I can’t have a current list as I know for sure lots of posts have comments that have not been approved yet)
  • I’m expecting a minimum of 4 comments per person (1 host, 2 co-hosts and the post before yours) and if you link up 2 posts I would expect 5 comments as a minimum per person (1 host, 2 co-hosts, the posts before yours and 1 more )
  • To comment on the post before yours. If you have any problems commenting on the post before yours please just send me a message and I will do my best to help.
  • If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous with each other and spreading lots of love.
  • Do not link up and run.
  • Do not forget to add the linky badge.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:

PLEASE START by commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LINK UP

I would like to say THANK YOU so much to DANI from This Woman’s Word and BREAD from Queer Little Family for helping me with the commenting this week! It was lovely having them! 🙂

GUEST CO-HOSTS FOR THIS LINK UP

My first guest co-host this week is AMIE from Mum’s The Word. This is the second time that I’m having Amie helping me to co-host the linky but this was like a year ago so I am really excited to have her again. She has been linking with us for a long time which is lovely. Amie has a parenting blog that she started 3 years ago. She lives in Cornwall with her partner and two gorgeous kids. She is a stay at home mum and loves sharing her journey through motherhood as well as doing loads of baking and crafts.

My second guest co-host this week is MARIA from Suburban Mum. You all know Maria by now. She has been helping me with the linky for more than a year as my monthly co-host. Things got pretty busy for her so she couldn’t co-host on a monthly basis anymore but of course, once in a while, she is okay to help out. She is part of this linky for so long and I really appreciate all her support. Just for some new linkers that have not stumbled upon her blog, Maria has a family and lifestyle blog. She is married and has two handsome boys. She blogs about her family, the ups and downs of being a working mum and everything in between. I am so excited to have her again! Please give some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be re-tweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@suburb4nmum) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Craft Corner: Pom-Pom Birds linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3

The person who commented the most this week was JESSICA from Babi a Fi. I am so excited to have Jessica back in the top 3 commenters. She used to link up with us a lot before and I used to feature her on a regular basis which is why I am so happy to have her back and not only commenting a lot but commenting on most of your posts! Wow! This is just fantastic news! She has done a BRILLIANT job commenting on 41 posts! Amazing! Her post from last week was JD Williams – Together Maxi Dress. Please visit her post and give her more love if you can!

The second person who commented a lot was CAROL from Virtually All Sorts. This is fantastic news! I am so happy to have Carol in the top 3 commenters for another week! It is now 3 weeks in a row! Hurrah! She has been so lovely commenting on so many posts. She has commented on 40 posts! FANTASTIC! Thank you so much, CAROL! Her post from last week was 5 Reasons Pets Are Good For A Child. Please visit her post and give her more love if you can.

The third person who commented a lot was CASSIE from Gorgeous George’s Mama. This is wonderful news too!  Cassie is a great supporter of this linky and she is so lovely! It is fantastic to see her joining Jessica and Carol in the top 3 commenters! She has been so kind commenting on so many of your lovely posts. She has commented on 23 posts! Super! Thank you so much, CASSIE! Her post from last week was Breakfast And Champagne At The Royal Hotel And Dr Legba’s Emporium Southend On Sea. Please go and give her post more love if you can!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6

Behind Jessica,  Carol and Cassie were MALIN from Sensational Learning With Penguin with 17 comments, MADELINE from This Glorious Life with 13 comments and CHRISTY from Welsh Mum with 12 comments. Thank you so much to all of you! 🙂

SPECIAL THANK YOU

I would like to say Thank You so much to Beth from Life as Mum who has commented on this link up with about 27 comments DESPITE her Not Linking Up with us this time. I thought that was a super generous gesture and I am so grateful for that! So I thought that I will mention her in this link up and let her know how much we all appreciate her lovely comments! Thanks, Beth, you ROCK!

For this week’s linky I am linking up Everybody’s Talking About Jamie: A Must See Musical! and L.O.L. Surprise Pearl Surprise Review so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

[do_widget id=”text-21″ title=false]

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

RULES:

Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT on the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned in my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on:

  • one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
  • the guest co-hosts posts.
  • the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
  • and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.

That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, AMIE @mumsthewordblog and MARIA @suburb4nmum and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Bloglovin, Google+ and YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting your posts!! 🙂

✨First Week in Torrevieja✨ ☀️🏖️.Our ✨First Week in Torrevieja✨ ☀️🏖️.Our first week in Torrevieja was a mix of unexpected moments and relaxation. Sienna’s 9th birthday took an unexpected turn when she cut her thumb, and we spent some time in the ER getting a single stitch. 😢 But she’s a trooper and handled it like a champ..Despite this, we still managed at the start of that first week to soak up some sun, enjoy the pool, watch beautiful sunsets, and take in the incredible views. Evenings by the pool became our thing, creating lasting memories and a sense of calm. It wasn’t the week we had planned, but it turned out to be a week of quality family time and unwinding. ☀️🏖️.Swipe left to see our first week in pictures, and if you keep checking until the last photo, you can see Sienna’s stitch.
