Happy National Ice Cream Day! And with a click of the fingers, the summer is now upon us. It is crazy how the months have passed by so quickly and finally; our kids are off school ready to start the summer holidays. I love the summer because it is the time where we can be together longer as a family and enjoy each others company. When I think back and remember all our previous summer holidays, it brings so many smiles to my face. We have made so many amazing memories together already.
Last year we went to France for 10 days in Brittany and we had the best time ever there. Every time we talk about it, it makes us wish we could recreate those 10 days. The weather was fantastic, the food, the places we visited, it had all the ingredients for a perfect family holiday.
Carnac, France
For me, there is nothing more exciting than being by the sea. Walking on sandy beaches, smelling the fresh air, feeling the sea lapping against your ankles. That is what being by the seaside conjures up for me. This also reminds me of my home country in Peru as my family live very close to the sea. My parents had a beach house where we used to go for the whole summer. This is one of the memories that I have stuck in my head about growing up there.
Kapala: Beach where my parents had a house in Peru
Hanging around with my friends until late hours because there was no school the next day was always a highlight for us! Lol And then, when I was a teenager, it was getting ready to go to beach parties or going and spending the afternoon at my friend’s house. Or just simply being flat out in the sand basking in the sun and splashing in the sea. This was just so much fun.
Lovely memories of the girls having a fun time with daddy in France
I definitely want to repeat these experiences with my girls. We don’t own a beach house here but that doesn’t stop us exploring the UK or going abroad in search of beautiful places by the sea. I can’t wait to enjoy, together with Nick and the girls, those pretty sunrises as well as the stunning sunsets. These moments are definitely priceless.
Ferry crossing to France
We are back in France for the weekend in Le Mans and Loir enjoying the food, the scenery, the people and especially, being with my little family. We are not near the seaside this time, but we are near a gorgeous river and a lake. We love doing this type of trip by car crossing via Ferry.
I am super excited to start making new memories with my family this summer and experiencing more adventures during the rest of the summer. I can tell you now that there is definitely a beach holiday to Mallorca at the end of the summer which we are super excited about.
Excited to be a Kinder Ice Cream Ambassador at their Launch Event in London
As Kinder Ice Cream Ambassador for the summer, we also support their nostalgia and summer memories vision, so we cannot wait to keep exploring new places, spend more time together making more fantastic memories, making ice cream puns and of course, eating all the Kinder Ice cream too!
Have you already tried the Kinder Ice Cream range? They have the ice cream sandwich and ice cream stick.
Girls eating Kinder Ice Cream Stick
They come in smaller sizes which are perfect for kids. This means you know they won’t be eating too much at once. All ice creams are under 100 calories too and come with the Wall’s ‘Responsibly Made for Kids’ logo. What else you can ask for?
And they’re not just for kids, they are yummy for the whole family too and a perfect healthy treat for the summer. They are available in the freezer aisles at retailers across the country.
Hope you have a fabulous summer making new memories with your family and of course don’t forget to eat all the ice cream!
What are your plans for the summer? What is your favourite Kinder Ice Cream?
*Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I’m working with Unilever and Mumsnet as an Ambassador of their new Kinder Ice Creams that were recently launched in the UK.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️

Oh, I couldn’t read this without feeling guilty! My husband bought a box of Kinder ice cream cones last week, meant for our little girl. She ate one and I have managed to secretly finish the rest!! I’m not usually much of an ice cream fan but there was so much chocolate on them, I just couldn’t resist! I’m going to be in trouble when she finds out! #kcacols

I didn’t realise Kinder did ice creams as well as chocolates. I hope there’s a joke on the stick for that truly nostalgic touch! #KCACOLS
