We received another toy from Hasbro to review. This time they sent us the new Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Sizzlin’ Stovetop. We did a review of their Play-Doh Town Fire Truck and it was a lot of fun so we were very keen to try this new set.
When we received the box, both my girls wanted to play with it straight away. This set is aimed at children aged 3 years and up. Sienna is only 2 but with supervision, it was okay to let her play too. She actually enjoyed this set a lot and she was very happy to play with Bella.
The box comes with the following items:
- 1 x Stovetop
- 4 x stampers
- 2 x pans
- 1 x tongs
- 1 x spatula
- 1 x knife
- 1 x fork
- 2 x plates
- 5 x cans of Play-Doh Brand Modeling Compound
It has everything they need to prepare lots of different dishes. The best ingredient here is your kid’s imagination. It is so much fun to see them creating all these cool and tasty dishes. And the best part is that you don’t need to worry about the heat and they don’t need to clean any dirty dishes, LOL!
One of the main features of this set is that the girls were able to cook up some Play-Doh fun with real sizzlin’ sounds. This was a real hit for the girls. They really felt like real mini chefs where they were able to do some real cooking! Bless them! This adds a whole different level to this play-doh experience.
Both of them tried this feature. When they placed the skillet or saucepan on the stove, it started a low sizzle. And when they tossed a Play-Doh meal on the skillet or pan it cranked it up to a high sizzle. It makes a very realistic noise sounding almost like real cooking! Please note that this set requires 3 AA batteries which are not included. I would recommend to get them before you let them play to avoid any disappointment.
The cans of Play-Doh Brand Modeling Compound come in 5 different colours: red, white, yellow, green and orange which are perfect for creating dishes. There are plenty of colours for some side dishes, too. I was worried that all the colours would end up mixed up straight away as this is what they normally do, especially Sienna but they were more careful this time.
The 4 stampers are great for shaping any imaginary entrees. The stamp Play-Doh entrees include silly steak, imaginary eggs, crazy burgers, and even a funny fish.
You can also Create side dishes like pretending veggies with the half-moulds. You can grab and flip Play-Doh foods with the tongs and spatula, and show them off with the plates.
It has an RRP of £22.99 and you can get it from ASDA Direct or Amazon. See Amazon details below:
The girls really enjoyed playing with this set. They played with it several times now. Little Sienna likes it a lot and has been playing when she gets back from nursery. The special sounds are fab which make this whole experience even better. We would definitely recommend this set. From all the play-doh toys that we have had in the past, this one is by far the best!
Do your kids love playing with Play-doh? Have you heard of this set before? If so, what do you think of it? What would your kids love most about this set?
*Disclaimer: we received this set as Hasbro Toy Testers and for the purpose of this review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️
