Reasons Not To Suffer In Silence

amomentwithfranca · 29 May 2017 · Leave a Comment

Advertising on the telly during the day is predictable. If you’ve ever taken a sick day off work or found yourself staying home to wait for the repairman, you’ll have seen the usual suspects crop up between the soap omnibus.

Reasons Not To Suffer In Silence

Reasons Not To Suffer In Silence

Insurance companies are a fixture, as well as charity campaigns, and the gambling and dating sites. As you sit there, your mind may start to wonder as you contemplate whether you are entitled to some compensation. Carry on reading to find out.

Kids

If you’re too sick to get out of bed, how are you supposed to put your kids to bed, or attend a parent-child three-legged race? You may not be able to attend PTA meetings. Okay, that one can be foregone, but the rest is a massive part of your family life that you’ll be missing out on. That’s priceless.

Money

In the current climate, it’s surprising that anyone can make ends meet and still have pocket money for fun. If you’re off work, you may be depending on your partner or parents for monetary support, which will be deflating for you and your financier.

Independence

This is a big one. Being stuck at home with no vocation can be incredibly crushing to a person.

Career Prospects

Even if you can gain sick pay from your job, there is no guarantee that your job – or even your industry – will still be there when you get back. While you’re at home, life moves on and your promotion could be taken by someone who was well enough to go in every day.

Safety

If the worst should happen, are you able bodied enough to take care of things? Could you drive your friend to the hospital? Much less be able to defend yourself in a break-in? If the answer is no, then it’s not just you put in unnecessary danger. A little money could pay for that security system or modified car.

Family

One day, your children will become parents themselves (or at least fly the nest), and they’ll appreciate that adult life is tough to navigate, and mistakes and compromises must be made. Until then, however, they won’t understand why you couldn’t show up for their dance recital or pick them up from school.

Insurance

Depending on where you live, it can be incredibly difficult to get health or life insurance, so make sure to follow up and provide an abundance of evidence when applying.

Justice

This one isn’t material, but it’s important. What’s right is right, and you’ll sleep better for knowing some small step was made in the correct direction.

Instead of grumbling about with the side effects from a poorly done medical procedure, injury or dodgy drug, it could be time to act. Book an appointment with a trusted lawyer, and you may be surprised by the outcome.

Many groups who have been wrongfully injured or debilitated, such as victims of drug side effects that cause cancer, like victims of the Actos drug case, have had success in claiming for their Actos lawsuit.

Compensation won’t solve everything, but it will help make life a little easier. It won’t stop until it does, so neither can you.
