Spoil Someone With Lovely Peonies

amomentwithfranca · 9 June 2016 · 58 Comments

Bloom & Wild has invited me to be part of their group of selected bloggers called, the Wildflower Collective. This group get to preview the company’s gorgeous arrangements of flowers before they are announced and made available to the public. I have been a massive fan of them since the beginning of my blogging journey as they were one of the first companies that agreed to let me review one of their letterbox arrangements.

Spoil Someone With Lovely Peonies

Spoil Someone With Lovely Peonies

This latest new letterbox arrangement I have been kindly sent is peonies. I have never received this type of flower before so this added to my excitement. I have heard a lot about peonies but have never bought them or had them bought for me. It was also great to receive them just before my birthday which meant I was able to show them off in my home during that time.

When the peonies arrived, they came in the usual highly quality packaging that Bloom & Wild flowers always do. Please refer to my previous review to find out more about their service and the way they take care of their flowers.

I removed the peonies from the box and started removing the protective netting from each one I received. As soon as I did this I was able to see how the petals opened out and became bigger. After putting them all in a vase, they looked stunning! I really recommend you to send peonies to someone you really care a lot about as I’m 100% sure you will brighten their day. They will be thinking about you a lot! 🙂

One of the things that I like a lot about Bloom & Wild letterbox flowers is that they send them to you from the beginning of the life of the flower so you are able to see them blooming in front of your eyes. This adds to the WOW factor and was something that really struck me when I reviewed them for the first time. My flowers lasted a long time.

Peonies are gorgeous flowers but you have to bear in mind that they have a shorter lifespan compared with other flowers, so they will not last quite as long. However, whilst they are in bloom they will more than make up for this. They literally made me smile every time they caught my eye!

I found myself using them in the background of a few photos that I needed to do for some other product reviews. I felt very lucky to have them.  Another interesting thing that I discovered while I had them at home is that peonies tend to change their colour. This was amazing to watch. I found it incredible to see them change from a hot coral colour to an almost ombre peach. Very interesting.

Bloom & Wild have various arrangements to choose from and they are all absolutely gorgeous but if you are a fan of peonies like I am now, then you would probably like to order some when they become available. This flower arrangement is paired with coral peonies, bupleurim, yellow solidago and craspedia for a bold and bright look.

Each box comes with instructions of what to do to ensure your flowers will last longer. This also explains a little bit about the contents of the arrangement along with some ideas of how to style them.

You can see below a short video that shows how awesome peonies bloom, 🙂

Again, I was incredibly satisfied and happy with my letterbox flowers. I am a fan of this type of service and I highly recommend you to try them too. No more waiting around at home for your flowers to arrive. This is an innovative, unique and fantastic service.

Do you like peonies? What are your favourite flavours?

Wow they are absolutely beautiful aren’t they! What a gorgeous thing to be part of! Fresh flowers are one of my guilty pleasures, I always make sure that we have at least two lots in the house – the sight of them cheers me up. Peonies are some of my faves but I also love Tulips x

I’ve never used them as I don’t tend to have anyone to sell flowers too, but these look like gorgeous, healthy blooms! I have peonies in my garden and always love to see them flower, although they are a little later this year with the weird weather we’ve been having! #KCACOLS

Ah! I love peonies – they’re my favourite! so old-fashioned looking and over-the-top gorgeous.
I’ve had flowers sent to me by another “letterbox” company – it is really handy them coming through the door, even if it means you have to do a little more work unpacking them and arranging them!

Ah this is so neat, as we grow these here all the time. I had a beautiful plant but I moved it, and they don’t like to be moved at all! It rebelled and died on me 🙁 I love that you got to review these, and don’t you just love those companies that take a chance on you when you are small. I am still waiting to find mine, heehe Lovely photos. #KCACOLS

I haven’t tried them before but they look really lovely! Sadly I’m not very green fingered though I WISH I was because flowers are so beautiful! haha
I like that it’s got a small “how to” guide in the packet though – I would def. need that! hehe

How very timely, my son has just chosen a bouquet with peonies in memory of his late Grandfather, for us to display on our table for Father’s Day. I hope they open out as beautifully as yours! Thanks for another #KCACOLS & enjoy BML16

beautiful 🙂 how cool that they protect the heads in the netting too. some delivery I’ve used in the past literally seem to just throw flowers in a box and they end up bruised and broken 🙁 #KCACOLS

I really like peonies, actually they remind me of Gossip Girl! They were Blair’s must have Wedding flowers, that her MIL to be didn’t like! One of my favourite flowers are daffodils, and like peonies they don’t last quite as long as other flowers, but are so beautiful while they are in bloom. I remember your post on wild and bloom, and the letterbox flowers are a great idea.
