We have some exciting news to tell you! We have a new visitor in our house! We are all so excited but Bella is the one that is completely over the moon! We have adopted a new scout Elf who will be with us from now until Christmas! Bella has named him Felix. I’m so excited to start a new wonderful tradition that is The Elf on the Shelf®.
For all of you that haven’t heard of this before, The Elf on the Shelf® is a scout Elf sent by Santa to check on your children. Aren’t you wondering how Santa is able to manage all his naughty and nice lists? Well this is the answer! This is exactly how Santa can find out about what is going on with our children! When a family adopts a scout Elf and gives it a name, the scout Elf receives its Christmas magic and can fly to the North Pole each night to tell Santa about all of the day’s adventures of our children. The next morning he is found in a different position in the house. There is something very important and interesting about this cute little scout Elf which is that he cannot be touched, otherwise it will lose all its magic. Oooooh!! I love magic! 😉
The cutest scout Elf with the book

The scout Elf is adopted by the family and stays in their home for the period before Christmas. The scout Elf then returns to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. The most amazing part, especially for my girls, is that the scout Elf will come back to us the following year. That is how it becomes the cutest Christmas family tradition ever! Hurray for that!! Ho Ho Ho!! 🙂

As soon as he visited us, we adopted him, and to make it official we went to the registration page on the The Elf on the Shelf® website and registered our scout Elf, giving him the name: Felix. HOW EXCITING!! This will give us a registration certificate and a letter from Santa!! How amazing is that, LOL! My little Bella has been so happy about the scout Elf, every morning the first thing she does after waking up is to race around looking for him! It is so cute to watch! She talks about the scout Elf all the time, telling her teachers and friends all about it at school! They are all now curious about the scout Elf and want to meet him! It makes me so happy that she is so engaged with this wonderful idea!
First morning that Bella met the scout Elf
She was so excited!! Yaaay..
She talks to him a lot. She tells him her stories of the day and also ask him questions. She is also starting to behave much better as she wants to be a good girl for Santa as she knows that he is the one that reports all the naughty and nice things that she does each day. For all of you parents that want to have well behaved children from now until Christmas, just get The Elf on the Shelf® and I promise you that your children will try their best to behave good to please their scout Elf, LOL.
Day 1 (Shelf Elf)
Day 2 (Elf on another Shelf)
Day 3 (Elf on an even higher Shelf)
Day 4 (You can’t reach me Elf)
Day 5 (Kitchen Elf)
Day 6 (Sky Elf)
Day 7 (Karaoke Elf)
Day 8 (Nosey box Elf)
Day 9 (Lampshade Elf)
Day 10 (Bookshelf Elf)
Day 11 (Cloakroom Elf)
Day 12 (Office Elf)
Day 13 (Abseiling Elf)
Since we adopted Felix , he has been flying to the North Pole and coming back the next morning showing himself in a different position. I have been taking photos of him every morning. It is so much fun! All the photos that you have just seen are from most of the days that Felix has been with us. Now to be completely honest with you there were some days that Felix stayed in the same place and there are 2 possible reasons for that: 1) reason for your children: there was a big storm in the North Pole so there was no possibility to fly there and 2) reason from parents (not enough time to deal with this or we just literally fell asleep and forgot! 😉 LOL )

The Elf on the Shelf: ‘A Christmas Tradition’ book (opened)
The Elf on the Shelf® comes with a beautiful book The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition which can be used to tell your children the story about this fantastic and cute scout Elf. You can buy this set for £29.99 here and start this wonderful tradition with your children too.
Christa Pitts, Carol Aebersold & Chanda Bell
This enchanting tale was written by mother-daughter duo Carol Aebersold and Chanda Bell, and is based on their own family’s Christmas tradition. Chanda’s twin sister Christa Pitts is the one who provided the business plans that took The Elf on the Shelf® from an unknown self-published title to the top of the bestseller lists year after year. It is so nice that this beautiful story came from someone’s own family tradition!

Have fun with Elf on the Shelf! We had two little men who brought us books and made book scenes during Advent, it was really fun to do 🙂

Hi Franca, this has to be the best thing you have ever been sent to review just in time for Christmas! Im still deciding on what I think about Elf on the shelf as we are starting to take on so many new christmas traditions each year now, im starting to feel a little overwhelmed by how much more preparations our christmases are starting to require lol. However, our little one is still a little to young to fully appreciate the Elf on the Shelf concept so I figure I have until next year to make up my mind! Great review, I can see how children will love this 🙂 Emily #KCACOLS
