If you want to take the entire family to the movies, it can be quite difficult to find a film that everyone is going to enjoy. So before you go, it’s important to know what films offer something for every family member, and are going to be enjoyable for kids and adults alike.
These are the best family films of 2017 to consider watching together, to ensure everyone is going to appreciate the film.
Beauty & the Beast
Bella and I went to watch the Beauty & the Beast movie together and we loved it! It is a timeless classic that has been revived to tell the backstory of the cartoon film. Although it is based on the actual film, it does bring together classic characters, it offers a new way to view those characters, and it is going to provide a little more depth and insight about the original film that your kids loved when they were younger.
Lego Batman Movie
It is more geared towards younger boys but does offer a backstory which girls are going to enjoy as well. It depicts the relationship between Batman and Robin, teaches a story of love and acceptance, and it is going to do so in a comedic way your children are going to appreciate and enjoy. Fun, funny, and characters your kids can relate to, and story lines which will teach a story, while providing comedic relief along the way.
We have not seen this movie yet but it is on our list of films to watch soon. Bella has mentioned several times that she is keen to watch it.
Smurfs: Lost Village
Another revival of the classic blue characters your kids love to watch on TV. This cartoon film brings together the voices of many actors your kids (and you) probably know, tells an ongoing story of the Smurfs world, and is going to provide various twists and turns along the way your kids are bound to appreciate. Especially if they are fans of the cartoon, it is a film they are going to love to watch on the big screen as well.
Despicable Me 3, The Emoji Movie, and Boss Baby are also a few of the popular titles which your kids are going to enjoy, and you as a parent are probably going to get a few laughs out of as well. Whether you have young boys or girls in the home, you want to choose movies that everyone can relate to and will enjoy. If you are looking for films in theatres, or those you can already purchase and bring home, these are a few of the top titles to consider, for films which have been released to date in 2017.
Which of the movies above would you like to watch? Have you watched the ones that have already been released?

We loved boss baby and went to see emoji movie as an end of holidays treat. I enjoyed both as there was something for the grown ups too. Unfortunately the British weather meant we saw more films than we originally planned!
