Interpretation of your dreams – #DreamsExplained

amomentwithfranca · 18 August 2016 · 69 Comments

After suddenly waking up from a weird dream, have you ever wondered what the actual meaning of it was? Dreaming is something that we all do but sometimes those dreams can be a little bit strange, making no sense what so ever. This leaves us wondering what the real meaning behind it all is.

#DreamsExplained FI

I have been thinking about dreams lately and I have come to the conclusion that a lack of sleep can sometimes makes you dream even more when you actually manage to fall asleep. This is because you get into a more deep sleep which is when you start dreaming. Sometimes I know that I have had a dream but when I wake up I can’t remember it. On other occasions however, I have a dream and I can remember it very well!

My sleep patterns have been all over the place since having children with lots of interrupted nights. My girls still jump into my bed in the middle of the night which is always a disruption for me. I tend to be more tired because of that so when I fall sleep, I tend to fall asleep very quickly. I can literally fall asleep anywhere now but of course if I’m in a comfy place like the sofa, my bed or a riser recliner chair it is more likely that I can have a dream.

I have been asked by Adjustamatic, to share with you one of my dreams and my daughter’s dream as part of their latest new campaign called #DreamsExplained. They will soon be launching a video featuring Ian Wallace who is a top dream psychologist and oneiric, where they will be featuring 5 dreams. It would be nice to have one of my dream or Bella’s dream analysed by a psychologist!

A few days ago I had a dream which I happened to remember. I dreamt that I was in a house that in the dream I owned but it didn’t look anything like our home at all. I was in the house with my husband and my two daughters. I know they were all there but I couldn’t actually see them. Then I heard a noise. It was someone knocking. I was going to stand up and open the door but I heard my husband going instead so I didn’t move. A few minutes later I heard a loud scream and the noise was now getting closer and closer to me. I turned my face towards the door and saw my husband coming and screaming because someone had punched him in the eye. It was nobody we knew so it was very strange. One of my husband’s eye has almost no vision. He can only see shadows and it is very blurry. This person punched my husband’s good eye that has no problem. This meant that my husband was unable to see at all so he was very upset and confused. At that moment I felt terribly upset and confused too. The feeling was that intense that I immediately woke up feeling scared. After a few seconds I felt so relieved that it had just been a horrible dream.

I asked my daughter Bella if she has had any dreams recently that she could remember. I was happy to hear that she had so I asked her to tell me all about it. She said that she was in a strange place surrounded by horses and fairies. It was all very pretty and peaceful. Then, suddenly someone held her and called her name. That was a voice that said “Your mum and dad are not here so you have to leave”. This had such an impact on her that she got super scared and because of that she woke up. When she told me her dream I was intrigued about what it meant. It would be nice if her dream is chosen and can be interpreted by Ian.

Bella’s dream and my dream were both unusual and made no sense. I would be interested to know what the meaning behind both dreams is. Fingers crossed we get picked! 🙂

Do you dream often? Do you remember what you dreamt about? Do you try to interpret them? Do you sleep better on the sofa or in bed? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

I’m always intrigued by dream meanings but find the weirder the dream the more normal the explanation. It’s probably when you start dreaming about really mundane things you should get worried! #KCACOLS

When F was really sick at the beginning, I remember having a dream that he had died. O was absolutely distraught and kept saying “I want him back, mummy! Bring him back!” I woke up sobbing and kept tearing up at work that morning. F was actually starting to improve a little by this point, but I think I had this dream because I was so scared of losing him. Because a part of me had been afraid all along that we would in the end. Mostly my dreams are vivid and weird, but not usually upsetting like that one.
Your dream sounds really quite frightening, and Bella’s dream is a bit like a typical childhood dream, but with a slightly sinister element. What strange acrobatics our brains perform while we sleep! #KCACOLS

With a 2 month old I find myself sleep deprived but when I do get some sleep I do dream. My latest dream was about climbing a ladder and someone at the top pushing it away so I fell. I assumed it to be a nightmare as it’s been so hot lately. #KCACOLS.

I have so many strange dreams – but most of them are pretty good. I go through phases of having bad dreams so I think they’re related to periods of anxiety. I always have a recurring dream that I’m about to sit an exam and I have absolutely no knowledge of the subject matter or time to revise – it’s so stressful. I guess it’s when I’m feeling overwhelmed or ill-prepared for something! I hope you get picks, both yours and Bella’s dreams sound very intriguing! xx #KCACOLS

Like most people I find dreams fascinating, but I think the best people to interpret them are probably ourselves, as we know our own thoughts, feelings and fears. I actually had an interesting dream last night that was vaguely blogging-related. A sure sign that blogging is taking over my life I think! #KCACOLS

Dreams can tell a person so much, but they can also be completely obscure and (it would seem at least) have little or no meaning. #KCACOLS

I hope you get picked so we can all find out what your dreams mean!! I very rarely fall asleep anywhere other than my bed unless I’ve had a horrendous night! And I very rarely seem to remember my dreams. Not sure if my kids are too young as well as they never mention them! Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS xx

I haven’t remembered what I dreamt about for a long time now. Haven’t decided if it’s a good or bad things. The last one I do remember was quite some time ago: woke up as usual, went to the kitchen and was reaching for something and this something was in direct sunlight, so once I grabbed it l, I noticed my hand and arm were catching fire there and then. #KCALOS

I think that dreams are so interesting, I had a dream last night that I was on holiday in Turkey. Sometimes I have dreams that I can’t get somewhere, or I miss the train. I think I have them when I’m trying really hard to do something, and haven’t quite got to the end of it. I often dream if I’ve read a book before going to bed. I love a dream, it’s such a weird part of sleep. Sometimes I wonder if my little girl has dreams. Claire x #KCACOLS

My daughter, who is 17, has really weird dreams all the time. She once dreamed she was a skinless rat! Perhaps because of this, she’s very interested in dream interpretation and psychology, in general. I’ll ask her what she thinks about these. #KCACOLS

I often have dreams where I’m at a place that should be somewhere, like home, but it’s not quite right, like the dimensions are off or something, very strange! x #KCACOLS

I e always been curious about what dreams mean. I will often dream, most of the time it’s about something I’ve done that day, or work related, but occasionally it’s very random! I’m sure my daughter dreams, she often sleep talks and will call out when she’s actually asleep, but in the morning she doesn’t remember what it’s been about. #KCACOLS

I really hope you are chosen as it would be great to get the dream analysed. There are two dreams that I have on a recurring basis where I go back to my first flat of my own and I still have the keys and we move back in and the other is not being able to pack a suitcase and being unprepared for holiday. It’s as though I’m double present in the dream as I can hearing myself say this has happened before. The subconscious mind is an interesting thing. Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS!

I don’t tend to dream that often anymore but I had really vivid dreams when I was pregnant. Your dream sounds a bit scary – thank goodness it didn’t happen in real life! #KCACOLS

I can usually remember most of my dreams and I am a lucid dreamer meaning I am aware I am dreaming whilst in the dream and I’m aware enough to tell myself if I had this dream before and what happened! #kcacols

I hope you get chosen too, as I’d love to know what they both mean. Scary about Nick. My mum can’t see in one eye, so she’s always scared something could happen to her good eye. Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS I look forward to co-hosting the coming week xxx

✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9.
