#KCACOLS – 16th April 2017

amomentwithfranca · 15 April 2017 · 3 Comments

Welcome back to #KCACOLS. HAPPY EASTER! I hope you all had 2 fantastic weeks. We had 97 link ups! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky in the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

kcacols700x400

We are now reaching the end of the Easter holidays. Bella will be back to school next week. It was nice to have some family time and also being able to do more things with Bella however, 3 weeks it is a lot of time and I’m now ready for her to start school again! I know it sounds bad but I’m so behind so I need to go back to work and to my routine! Do you feel the same way?

We attended a few family events during the holidays. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe to have breakfast with Bunny. It was fun. We also went on London Duck Tours which we have never done before. It was fun too but it was freezing cold! Have you done this tour before? I also managed to do some mummy duties that had been on my list for ages like taking Bella to the dentist and to the hairdressers. This is the first time that she has had a proper haircut. She was so happy, bless her! What did you do during the holidays?

Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. There are now 5,891 photos! Yay! It is lovely to see all your photos there! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! As I mentioned before, I am featuring 2 photos from the community that have caught my eye since the last link up.

This time I’m featuring photos by:

  1.  BECKY from Mommy and Rory

KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP

THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

NOW BACK TO THE LINKY

We didn’t have a great link up. We only got 97 links and there wasn’t as much commenting. I thought we might do better having fewer link ups but I guess I was wrong. I would like to think that the Easter Holidays is causing this although if you link up beforehand you should know that you have some commenting to do so, to be honest, there is no excuse. We had a big number of posts that needed more comments as well as a big number of people not doing their comments!

By Thursday this week we had about 46 posts that needed more comments and by Saturday morning this number was reduced to 20. We had about 26 people that hadn’t commented on the post linked up before theirs on Thursday but this was reduced to 10 by Saturday morning. After reminding people today we have reduced this number more. All posts have a minimum of 3 comments which is great so the majority have more than 4 comments which is always very nice to see! Only 4 posts have 2 comments and about 14 posts have 3 comments. The remaining posts (79 posts) have a minimum of 4 comments which is good.

DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE NEW CHANGES TO THE LINKY

The linky is a fortnightly linky. It will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

The rules will be the same, the only difference is the amount of time that the linky will be open for. The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.

I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.

LINKY TWEETS

I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. And of course, I will email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!

Tweet Me!

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • I am not pushing for the 4 comments per post anymore. I will keep showing a list of posts that have fewer comments on my Thank You email to encourage people to comment more on those but after that, I will not keep asking. It will be lovely if we can get a minimum of 2 comments per post but of course, we should be aiming for more.
  • To approve your comments and check your SPAM folders (this is such a HUGE problem for me as it keeps being part of why I can’t have a current list as I know for sure lots of posts have comments that have not been approved yet)
  • I’m expecting a minimum of 5 comments per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts and the post before yours) and if you link up 2 posts I would expect 6 comments as a minimum per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts, the posts before yours and 1 more )
  • To comment on the post before yours. If you have any problems commenting on the post before yours please just send me a message and I will do my best to help.
  • If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous with each other and spreading lots of love.
  • Do not link up and run.
  • Do not forget to add the linky badge.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:

PLEASE START with commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

MONTHLY GUEST CO-HOST

This week the “monthly” guest co-host will be MARIA from Suburban Mum. These are her social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be re-tweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@suburb4nmum) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Big Jigs Play Patrol – Fire Station Train Set linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!!

GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM PREVIOUS LINK

featuredpost_odd_hogg_1016

I would like to say THANK YOU so much to ALANA from Burnished Chaos and KIM from Odd Hogg for helping me with the commenting this week! They have co-hosted before so as expected they did a wonderful job. I really enjoyed having them! They have been FANTASTIC! 🙂

GUEST CO-HOSTS FOR THIS WEEK

My first guest co-host this week is BREAD from Queer Little Family. I’m super excited to have BREAD co-hosting with me this time. She has been featured and mentioned so many times that it is lovely that she agreed to help me with the linky. She has recently had a baby which is super cute! I love her photos of her baby on Instagram. I’m looking forward to co-hosting with her. Please give her some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@wingingxit) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Six Frequently Asked Questions of LGBTQ Parents (And the Answers) linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!!

My second guest co-host this week is PEACHY from Diary of a Little Peach. I’m very happy to have Peachy as my co-host for the first time. She is from Ontario, Canada. I love that we have people from abroad. It makes this linky an international linky! How cool is that?? 😉  She has been linking with us for a few months now so it is very nice to have her helping me this link up! Her blog is lovely and she is really nice too! Please give some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@peachy_diary) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Babies Have Feelings Too linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3

The person who commented the most this last link up was HANNAH from Mrs Morgan Plus 3. I know you are familiar with her blog as she has been recently a co-host for the linky. This is the first time that Hannah is being featured and I’m so happy to see she is at the top of this list. I was very happy to see her name at the top! She was FANTASTIC commenting on 36 posts! Thank you so much, HANNAH!

The second person who commented a lot was HAYLEY from Devon Mama. She was at the top of the list last time, so it is really nice to see her back to this list! I’m so grateful for all her commenting. She was GREAT commenting on 32 posts! Thank you so much, HAYLEY! One of her posts from last week was Recipe: Chilli Con Carne (Baby Led Weaning) Please go to her post and give her more love if you can.

The third person who commented a lot was EMMA from Me and B Make Tea. Emma is amazing. She is such a fantastic supporter of this linky. She is lovely! She has commented on 25 posts! Thank you so much, EMMA! One of her posts from last week was How to Navigate Your Way Around a Corporate Website!. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can.

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6

Behind Hannah, Hayley, and Emma were ALI from Ali’s Upside Down World with 18 comments, PEN from The Single Swan with 16 comments and KELLY from And Jacob Makes Three with 15 comments. Thank you so much, lovely ladies!!! 🙂

For this week’s linky I am linking up New Forbidden Forest at the Harry Potter Studio Tour and Mother’s Day in Cornwall so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

[do_widget id=”text-21″ title=false]

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

NEW RULES:

Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT within the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned on my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on:

  • one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
  • the monthly guest co-host post.
  • the guest co-hosts posts.
  • the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
  • and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.

That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, Maria @suburb4nmum, Bread @wingingxit and Peachy @peachy_diary and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest , Bloglovin, Google+ and YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting your posts!! 🙂

✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9. The time really goes fast. Are your kids dealing with GCSEs too?.📸 Sharing this beautiful bouquet of flowers from @freddiesflowers to brighten up our day.#flowerarrangement #flowerdelivery #bouquetofflowers #flowersmakemehappy #loveflowers #flowersoftheday #flowersoftheweek #flowerlover #freshflowers #flowerobsession #bunchofflowers #foreverflowers #flowersofinstagram #homesweethome
