#KCACOLS – 29th May 2016

amomentwithfranca · 28 May 2016 · 15 Comments

Welcome back to my linky #KCACOLS. I hope you all had a fantastic week! We did REALLY WELL last week with 116 link ups! Our best so far!! HURRAH!! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky in the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

kcacols700x400

Today my blog turns 1 year old! WooHoo!! Happy 1st anniversary to “A Moment With Franca”. I can’t believe it has been a year since I decided to venture into this wonderful world. I have learnt so much since I started and I have loved all the experiences and opportunities that this little blog has brought to our family. I will be posting a blog about it this week.

I started the week on a high because Monday was my birthday and as I have mentioned previously, I love my birthdhay so it was nice to be waken up by 2 little monkeys that seemed to be more excited than me. It was so lovely! I didn’t do anything special that day but I went out for dinner on Wednesday night to a beautiful restaurant in front of a canal which was magical. I love this place and it was even better to celebrate it with very close friends who are also from Peru. I had the best night ever. The food was amazing as you can see below from my Instagram.

These starters at @thesummerhouse were delicious! 😋😃

After those high moments, the week took a turn for the worse. How can you be having the best time ever one day, feeling on top of the world and then the next day everything is crushed completely? Well the BIBs finalists were announced on Thursday, one day before their official announcement day. It was all so strange. Anyway, I didn’t make it and I felt super sad. It was such an awful feeling. I’m not going to lie, I even cried. It was a sad and low day for me. It is so silly as I know it is just an award but yes I felt like my world was destroyed and I should not be blogging any more. I know that I will feel better soon and I will laugh about it later but at the moment I feel sad and I guess I’m allowed to feel that way right? I didn’t want to pass another day without saying Thank You So Much to all of you that did vote for us. It is really nice to know that other people apart from Nick and my girls like the blog and the videos.

Sorry about all of that. I needed to let it all out, LOL! Now back to the linky. The commenting was good. I really appreciate you taking the time to come back to the linky to comment and especially to go and spread more love to the posts that needed more comments. Not considering the hosts and co-hosts posts, I have about 18 people making more than 11 comments. Then we have about 6 people commenting on more than 20 posts. These numbers are FANTASTIC! Thank you so much.

  • A couple of posts had 18 comments just from this linky, so that really is fantastic!
  • There were 3 other posts that had  17 comments!
  • There were only 2 posts with 3 comments.
  • The rest of the posts had between 4 and 18 comments!
  • Also for this week, the last couple of posts that linked up (link 115 and link 116) had 6 comments and 11 comments respectively (you will always receive comments no matter at what stage of the linky you link up).

We had 22 people that didn’t comment on the post linked up before their post. This is way too high and I’m not happy at all. This is the only thing I’m constantly asking you to do so please make an effort to follow this rule. If for any reason you can’t comment I would appreciate if you could let me know so I will make a note. Please let’s make this happen next week! Also, please do not link up and run as that is absolutely a no no and it is really bad etiquette. I will not accept this at #KCACOLS.

Thank you guys for continuing to read the Thank You email on Thursdays. It is nice to see that you come back and actually get the time to check which posts need some love. Thank you very much!!!

NOTE: If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous between each other and spreading lots of love. I really don’t like when I see a post with 18 comments from this linky for example and then there is no reciprocation at all. Not even one comment. That is just really sad. These types of linkers are not welcome here.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS: PLEASE start with commenting on the post linked up before yours first and then go around commenting as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As you know I have read and liked all your comments! I can’t go and comment on all of your posts because of the lack of time. However you will always receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

FeaturedPost_BeautyBabyAndMe

FeaturedPost_Dot_Makes_4

I would like to say THANK YOU so much to FIONA from Beauty, Baby and Me and LAURA from Dot Makes 4 for helping me with the commenting this week! They have been AMAZING! They have supported me the whole week and also helped to boost the posts that needed more love! I’m always so grateful for all the help I can get from my co-hosts. They were both FANTASTIC! I have really enjoyed co-hosting with them! 🙂

FeaturedPost_Mumzilla

My first guest co-host this week is SARAH from Mumzilla. I’m super excited to co-host with Sarah this week because she has been amazing supporting this linky since she started linking up with us at the beginning of the year. She has been featured several times and she has even been top commenter a couple of times if I’m not wrong! At least one time for sure!  This is her first time as a co-host here so I’m really looking forward to it. She is so funny and her posts always show her sense of humour and sarcasm that I love. It is a pleasure to have her!

FeaturedPost_AllAboutU

My second guest co-host is REBECCA from All About U.  This is also the first time that I’m co-hosting with Rebecca and I’m thrilled about it because she has been linking up with us since the linky started and also because I was so lucky to get to meet her at an event in central London a couple of months ago. We had a great time. She was so easy to talk to. I love Rebecca’s blog – she always has the coolest reviews and advice for us parents. She is lovely and it is also a pleasure to have her! Please give some love to her social media accounts (Twitter, Twitter, Facebook & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets so please add her twitter handle (@AAUBlog) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally she has a guest co-host post, A Guide to Green Juices linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!!

FeaturedPost_Me_And_B_Make_Tea

The person who commented the most last week was EMMA from Me and B Make Tea. This is the second time that I’m featuring Emma. She has been amazing this week. I’m so grateful that she has spread so much love. It is really nice when I see people commenting a lot. She is always taking the time to go around and comment on as many blogs as she can. She will be a co-host soon so I’m so looking forward to that and as you can see, she will be brilliant! 😉 She has been super generous this week, commenting on 52 posts which is BRILLIANT! Thank you so much EMMA! One of her posts from last week was, Appreciating What I Have on my Doorstep!. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can!

FeaturedPost_One_Frazzled_Mum

The second person who commented a lot this week was the lovely TRACEY from One Frazzled Mum. I love Tracey. She is always so keen to comment and be involved in this linky. She is someone that I can now call a friend even though I have not met her yet. I hope I can meet her soon. I have featured her before and this time she did it again. She has been linking with us since the beginning of the year I think and since then she has been with us pretty much every week. She has been really generous this week too, commenting on 45 posts which is BRILLIANT! Thank you so much TRACEY! Her post from last week was A Mountain Plan for Serenity. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can!

FeaturedPost_Arthurwears

The third person who has commented a lot this week was SARAH from Arthurwears. I’m so happy to feature Sarah for the first time. She has been amazing this week. She has always been very supportive of this linky although she had a little break but she is now back better than ever and we are loving her for that! I’m so excited as she has been really good at spreading lots of love! She commented on 35 posts!!! FANTASTIC! Thank you so much SARAH! You are A STAR! Her post from last week was Children Changing Careers p3: Dani from Deluxe Blooms. If you haven’t read it already, go and check it out now!

Behind Emma, Tracey, and Sarah was MADELINE from This Glorious Life  with 24 comments, RACHEL from Rachel Bustin Blog with 28 comments and ALI from Ali’s Upside Down World with 21 comments. Thank you so much lovely ladies!!! 🙂

For this week’s linky I am linking up a lovely event “Boots #PetalParty Raising Awareness of ‘Insneezia’“ and a cute review “Puppy in my Pocket Review“, so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

RULES:

Each week I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT within the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned on my Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a back link on my new linky post each Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts per week.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on one of the hosts posts (choose one that you would like to comment on as I will be linking up 2 posts every week if possible). Then comment the guest co-hosts. Then comment on the post which is linked up immediately before yours and finally any other post that you would like to comment on. That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until Wednesday at 11.59 pm.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, Sarah @themumzilla and Rebecca @AAUBlog and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest , Bloglovin, Google+ and You Tube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting your posts!! 🙂

I do understand your dissapointment, but I hope you’ll soon see that you’ve been nominated and shortlisted in both BIBs and MADS and it’s still a public vote meaning some people will simply have a bigger network online, it’s doesn’t necessarily mean that they are better bloggers. Your blog and vlogs are fab, be proud! Hope your beautiful smile returns soon.

    Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS

Ahh Franca lovely, I’m sorry you felt so low about the BiBs – well done for letting it out! I was unsurprisingly not a finalist but still felt disappointment. I think I’m going to blog about the flat feeling at some point. I wasn’t sure you’d be so bothered given that you are a super-duper MADS FINALIST!! Your blog is gorgeous. Keep your blogging chin up xxx

I so understand your disappointment because I felt exactly the same! I wondered whether to mention it actually, because I felt like a sore loser… Of course I’m pleased for the other fabulous bloggers who got through, I just would have loved to join them and was truly gutted not to.

I’m mostly over it now, I hope you are too. There’s always next year, right?

    Thanks for hosting xx

Oh lovely, I read your post and really felt for you. I cant imagine what a blow it must have been not to make the finalist list, but what an achievement to be short-listed in the first place. You should definitely look at it from this view, your blog has only just turned one and that is such a wonderful achievement that not many other bloggers can talk about. Youre doing amazingly well lovely and dont forget that 🙂 Emily x

Hi lovely, I was so sorry not to see you on the finalist list and it is ok to feel sad BUT you should focus on all the amazing things that you have achieved. You are a multi-award nominated blogger, a finalist in the MADs, you have an amazing blog and you are able to do lots of exciting things all thanks to your fab blog. You should be feeling very proud.

Happy 1st blogaversary honey! I was so sorry to hear you didn’t make the finalists and I really hated how it made you feel. But my dear sweet friend just look how far you’ve come in such a short time! I just know if you can accomplish making it to the BIBS in such a short amount of time then you are without a doubt a future award winning blogger….So keep your chin up honey and keep on doing what you are doing. I’m so glad you had lovely birthday dinner with your friends. Thanks for hosting lovely. Xx #KCACOLS

Ah hun, sorry you felt so sad about the BiBs – I completely understand how you must’ve felt as I think to get shortlisted in the first place makes it such a high and then a big low….BUT your blog and your videos are amazing and I really can’t believe how much you have achieved in just one year – I am in complete awe and have no idea how you keep on top of it all, along with this fantastic community you’ve created. You should feel so so proud – and you’re a MADS finalist!!!! Hope you feel better about it soon xxx

Franca, Alice is right, you have achieved a lot in a year and the little KCACOLS community you have created here is wonderful. I’ve only been taking part for a few weeks but it is one of the highlights of my blogging week, I have discovered some lovely posts and blogs on here. It is like having a little reading list. I am so busy trying to get to grips with my new blog, there is so much to learn that having so many posts in one place to read and enjoy is great. Plus, of course, it has been a real thrill to have so many people pop across to read and comment on mine.

So, let me give you a ‘KCACOLS makes my blogging week’ award.
BTW I am away in Northumberland this week and in and out of wifi so I will try my best to comment as much as I can! Jane xx

Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around!
