Hola chicos, on a recent Sunday afternoon, we decided to go out of the house and have some fresh air. We had been at home all morning and were desperate to do something different and to get the girls out of the house. You are not going to believe how good it is sometimes to just go for a nice walk to the park for some fresh air. It was a dark and wet day but even like that it is just nice to spend some time out with your family. We decided to go to Golders Hill Park. I have never been there but Nick had and he promised me that I wouldn’t be disappointed. We all quickly changed and went out to explore the park. OMG guys! I really wasn’t expecting this park to be that beautiful!! If you are ever in that part of London you should stop by and have a look around as it is really gorgeous!
They have large green spaces. It looked like we were in a wild wood. You could tell all around that Autumn was really upon us now. You could see the beautiful leaves all over the ground with those yellow and orange colours that are really stunning at this time of the year.
I took lots of photos of that afternoon. It was just perfect! As soon as we arrived we just walked around and explored the area a little bit. Bella was so happy. She wanted to pose and asked me to take pictures of her. It was so funny! She just knows now what to do when I’m taking photos of her! It was really cute.
They have a really nice playground for the kids. My girls were so happy playing there. We really had a good time until the weather got worse and started raining. It didn’t last too long though so we thought it could be nice to keep walking towards the other side of the park as we didn’t want to leave without seeing everything!
Golders Hill Park is home to a free zoo, with a growing collection of rare and exotic birds and mammals such as laughing kookaburras, ring-tailed lemurs and ring-tailed coatis. It is one of only two free zoos in London registered with BIAZA, the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums. They also have a separate area for deer near to the small zoo.
There are some large expanses of grass, but it also has a formal flower garden next to a duck pond with a small humpback bridge, butterfly house, a bandstand, a separate water garden, which leads onto a larger pond with both black and white swans. Isn’t this place amazing!! I love it!!
We then went to the park Cafe and on our way we found a lovely squirrel and a friendly cat! At the Cafe we had a lovely cup of coffee (Nick and I) and some hot chocolate drinks for Sienna and Bella. They had lots of yummy desserts so we picked a few different ones to share between us all. It was really nice!
After that we headed back home. It was really a lovely Sunday afternoon which we hadn’t planned and it ended up being one of the best!! Sometimes being spontaneous and just going with the flow leads to a better outcome. What a beautiful time we had as a family.
Do you also like to do spontaneous things? If yes, did you enjoy it? Was it worth it? What kind of things did you do? Leave a comment below and I would love to know your thoughts.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️
Franca 💋

Que bello parque !! Se ve que la pasaron lindo! Las bb’s están felices y si creo que es muy saludable sacarlas los domingos a pasear un rato y estar en contacto con la naturaleza
Los extrañamos
Looks like a lovely place to visit. Such wonderful photos x
Ah this looks like such a lovely family day out! I love British parks, especially at this time of year when all the trees look so pretty and the leaves crunch under your wellies. Bella looks like she was having a great time. We always try and go out for a family walk on Sundays and take our dog for a good run around – you’re so right, the fresh air can do wonders for your mood! #KCACOLS
Golders Hill Park looks a real gem and what a wonderful time of year to visit. The colours on the leaves are stunning and there is so much well kept space. It looks surprisingly quiet when you visitied, so many fdifferent areas to it as well, I’m sure the girls love the playground the best but the lake and the cafe would be a draw for me too. I think you might be returning to this one. thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
Gorgeous pictures! Autumn is definitely the best time for walks in the park, and that park looks so beautiful! Thank you for hosting #KCACOLS
I had no idea that this park even existed! I think a family outing is in order! I love the fact they have a little free zoo – my son is really into animals at the moment so this would be perfect. Cute pictures and looks like a lovely day out, Thanks for sharing #KCACOLS
What a lovely day you had. And you took some beautiful photographs. You look like you had so much fun. It’s posts like this that make me excited for my littLe one to be old enough to pose like your little Bella. Thank you for a beautiful post X #KCACOLS
You must have had a lovely day at Golders Hill Park. I love all your photo too. Thanks got hosting. xx
It looks amazing there. Brilliant photos. There are such beautiful parks in London. I love the idea of the zoo too! My daughter loves animals so much I could keep her entertained free for hours here. Pity I no longer live in London! And a park with a cafe, double bonus! #KCACOLS
Such a gorgeous family and really lovely photos. UK has the best parks.

Hi there,
Golders Hill Park sure look brilliant! We have been very spontaneous in the past. A lot less so since the boys have started school. We’ve been to Blackpool for a long weekend, went to Great Yarmouth. Most travelling we do these days is driving back to the gatwick area to see family. Norfolk definitely is much quieter than London and the South east! Wonderful fotos!! #KCACOLS
What a beautiful park look like you all had a fab time thanks for hosting X
Looks like you all had a great day, love all the pictures. We had a lovely day yesterday, baked some gingerbread men, painted pictures and went for a walk around our local duck pond..was so lovely because we didn’t plan anything just kind of let the day take us wherever it wanted. Sometimes it is better when you are spontaneous, planned outings don’t always end up how you had hoped. If I am ever in London I want to go here!xx #KCACOLS
What lovely photos – looks like you had alot of fun. I love parks this time of year – perfect for leaf collecting and jumping on leaves and puddles! x
It looks like a fantastic day out! Your photos really show how much fun you all had, and that play park is amazing! A castle! Wow! Fab photos, and thank you for hosting xx #KCACOLS
What gorgeous photos Franca it looks like you had a lovely day and some days fresh air is just what the children need. #kcacols
Spontaneous days are the best. The girls look so, so happy playing in the park and I adore the pictures of you in the leaves. Definitely some photo frame worthy ones there. What a beautiful place to visit. I’d want to go back again and again. It really sounds like the perfect Sunday. xx #KCACOLS
What a lovely park – good find ! Sometimes an impromtu day out is the best #KCACOLS
Looks gorgeous! I love a lovely park and london has some cracking ones. A free zoo though…now that does sound fab! I just love it when places have got a bit of everything for a family while still being nice places to go for everyone. You know, not too obvious. We live near some nice seaside so do lots of last minute trips to the beach and the new forest, always fun. Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS
It looks absolutely beautiful there. Yes I agree sometimes the most spontaneous outings end up being the most memorable! Glad to hear as well as that you all had a fantastic time, and that you have loads of gorgeous pictures too!xx #KCACOLS
Seemed like a fab family day out! yes, we had a lot of spontaneous day outs as a family too, and most of the time, it ended up good and fun. You’ve got lovely photos especially the ones with your beautiful little girls! Thanks for sharing! #KCACOLS
I agree, the spontaneous ones are often the best. Looks like you all had a brilliant time. I’ve never been to this park, as we live close to both Richmond and Bushy Park so tend to visit them, and I love a good day out. #KCACOLS

Looks like a great afternoon out. So lovely to find a park like that and it has a cafe, what a bonus! Gorgeous photos too! I agree that spontaneous days out are often the best! #KCACOLS
Aww looks like you had a great time, lovely park and lovely photographs! We love going for walks on a sunday afternoon as we normally keep sundays free as a family day but sometimes don’t want to go and do anything in particular 🙂
#KCACOLS
Nothing beats a trip to the park to blow away the cobwebs and this looks a fab places to visit. Mine would love the opportunity to run off steam and then race around the playground
What an awesome day and your girls are so so pretty! I love spontaneous days like that where your plans suddenly change and then you end up having the best time ever 🙂 Mim x #KCACOLS
Sounds like a fab day! And your photo’s are amazing! What a lovely place, I too like the spontaneous trips out that just turn out to be the best family trips, especially the ones that don’t cost the earth! If I am ever in that area I will definitely be checking it out, big, open spaces are a must for my little ones so I’m sure they would love it. I wish we had more places like that here! xx
What a fantastic park. It reminds me of somewhere we went in Sweden that had a farm, sensory garden and adventure trail, all for free too. That was a very rainy day but we didn’t let that put us off either 🙂 #KCACOLS
Wow, what an amazing place! Looks like you’d need a whole day to explore it all!
Lovely pics of the family 🙂
Last month we spontaneously picked blackberries and I made crumble. That was a lot of fun…and yummy!
#KCACOLS
Parks like this make me miss the UK! I love the colours on the trees and even the gloomy light! Looks beautiful and a lot of fun! #KCACOLS
It always amazes me that London has so many large parks, for such a densely, populated area. This park looks great, and I like the idea that families can go to the zoo area for free.
Walks in the forest, parks or countryside are great this time of year. We drove through the New Forest a few weeks ago, on our way back from Charmouth, and it had a great display of different Autumn foilage.
Thanks for Hosting #KCACOLS
Looks and sounds like perfect family time. #KCACOLS xx
What a lovely day! The park looks beautiful, how great is it that there is a free zoo! I love that. I used to always just go for random days out when I had a car, however now I am in work full time we don’t get to do it so much I do miss it #KCACOLS
I’ve never heard of Golders Green Park! I need to look into this one and see where it is. I think my two would enjoy it there. Lots of great pictures too. I sometimes think spontaneous days out are the best! xx #KCACOLS
OMGoodness I would have a field day there taking pictures. I was tempted to knock on a few of my neighbors doors who had huge trees with falling leaves, to ask if I could take pictures of my kids playing in them. Our yard was just finished last year as our house was just built March of last year. Do you edit photos at all? That’s what I do on the side if you ever need some editing done 😉 Thanks so much for hostessing #KCACOLS Trista
Looks like a beautiful park and definitely quite wild in appearance too. You have some really gorgeous photos of your family from your autumn walk. Great that you could see the animals there and a fab park to play in as well. All the best walks end with a visit to a cafe, I love a good hot chocolate on a cold day.
Thanks so much for linking up to WhatevertheWeather x
Wow that place is so beautiful, I bet you’ll be going back all the time now you’ve found it! The girls look like they are having the best time. Becky x #KCACOLS
