5 Important Tips for The Perfect Kitchen

amomentwithfranca · 26 July 2016 · 4 Comments

Tips for “The Perfect Kitchen: The kitchen” is the beating heart of your home, that much is beyond doubt. Not only is it the room in which, on average, most active waking hours are spent, but it is where the most critical activities of your day take place. Where you eat and where you socialise — where you are brought together with family and with friends, and where you get your energy that gets you through the day.

5 Important Tips for The Perfect Kitchen

The kitchen is also the room in the house where efficient layout and storage are essential. So often do parts of your kitchen become the burial ground for old utensils or forgotten gifts, that more space is wasted than you realise. I think the majority of us are guilty of assuming that when we move into a new home, the kitchen has already been adequately constructed for maximum practicality. Hey, if it’s worked for them, it’ll work for us! This is incorrect.

There are numerous ways to improve the organisation of your kitchen, from drawing out gadgets and finding space for extra shelves to enhancing the quality of your kitchen doors or worktops with natural materials like granite or marble. Things that you can easily find at Kitchen Warehouse, a family-run business selling trade-priced, high-quality kitchens direct to the public.

Did you know that the kitchen sink, when not cared for on a regular basis, can accumulate 100,000 more germs than your toilet seat? This is most common with cluttered, low-quality surfaces, but it is one of the least obvious of a variety of health and safety hazards in the kitchen.

As the room in the house where you spend the most hours—and one that also represents the most health and safety hazards—your kitchen must be the right place for you and your family. Having an open, organised kitchen where you can cook, eat, clean, and socialise without hindrances or dangers is incredibly important. A well-designed kitchen makes cooking more enjoyable—especially when you’re working with bold ingredients like green chile to elevate everyday meals. Beyond practicality and comfort, a clean and organised kitchen also contributes to your overall mental well-being.

The kitchen is such a critical room in our homes, especially when you have a family to cook for. Getting it right can also add such value to your home when you decide to sell. I love my stone bench tops, and my deep sinks. I also love drawers rather than cupboards.

Excellent points you make here. We recently replaced our kitchen sink and countertop with granite, and I’m extremely happy with it! It really makes the entire kitchen look more updated, and it’s so easy to keep them clean. Thanks so much for all the info and tips!
