Matching Mummy and Daughters Party Dresses with #GeorgeMiniMe

amomentwithfranca · 25 August 2016 · 70 Comments

Every day my daughters are becoming more aware about their clothes and what they want to wear, especially Bella who is now 6 years old! She loves choosing her outfits and she is always very excited about getting gorgeous new dresses. In fact, lately she only wants to wear dresses as she says they make her feel like a beautiful princess, bless her! Now, Sienna even though she is only 2 years old, she is already picking up her own style and she is also starting to decide what she wants to wear or not wear! I’m not sure if she imitates what her older sister does but lately she also wants to wear dresses!

#GeorgeMiniMe FI

We were super excited when George at Asda asked us to be part of their #GeorgeMiniMe challenge. My daughters love dressing up and I obviously love it too, LOL! As soon as I told Bella she was all over the computer with me choosing an outfit – so cute!

Not long ago, it was Sienna’s birthday so I decided to do two matching Mummy & Daughter outfits with her and one matching Mummy & Daughter outfit with Bella.

The idea was to choose some party dresses so we could all dress up and be ready to party – Yay ;-)! It was the perfect occasion because it was Sienna’s birthday the weekend that we all modelled the dresses, so we celebrated it in style! Hurrah, LOL!

Matching Outfit No 1 – Mummy & Bella

Franca & Bella's dresses

The first outfit we chose was the one that Bella and I would model together. We went for something in black and white. You will always look smart and fashionable in black and white. Also Bella and I had an event together so we wanted to look great so we could wear it for that day.

Bella modelling dress 1

Bella’s outfit was a lovely Belted Heard Print Dress. This is a chiffon layered dress in an adorable all-over heart print. The slim waist belt and sequin embellished collar make it the perfect choice to style it up at birthday parties.

It comes with button fastening front, cap sleeve, sequinned semi cutaway collar, elasticated waistband and included belt. It was a gorgeous dress. The details of the collar was beautiful. She looks so smart in it and she was so happy from the moment she wore it!

Franca Modelling Dress 1

I wore a Printed Shirt Dress that was super flattering! It has a chic monochrome print with a drawstring waist to flatter your feminine silhouette. I really feel very good in it – it was very comfortable to wear too. I love the black and white. I really wanted something that would hide the imperfections if you know what I mean, LOL and I think this dress did the job!

What I like about the dress is that it could be used for different purposes. It is elegant and could be worn for a nice evening out or for the office or for work meetings. This lightweight shirt dress has plenty of wear. I also like a the short sleeves a lot as I’m always trying to hide my arms in a subtle way so this dress was perfect at doing that.

Bella & Mummy rocking it

Bella & Mummy having fun

Bella and I felt beautiful that day at the event and we loved that we we had matching dresses. We travelled on the tube and had so much fun! I think we really got it spot on with this first matching outfit. What do you guys think? Bella also wanted to wear her sunglasses like mummy so we really looked like twins that day, LOL!

Matching Outfit No 2 – Mummy & Sienna

Matching Dresses No 2

The second matching outfit was with the birthday girl Sienna. We wanted to choose something colourful and with lots of life! We were away for the weekend staying at my parent’s in law’s house to celebrate all together as it happened to be also both my mother and father in law’s birthdays on the same day too – woohoo!

Sienna Modelling Dress No 2

Sienna’s outfit was so cute. We got a Crochet Hem Floral Print Dress. This dress is just lovely. I like the floral print and the colours look amazing on Sienna as it brightens up her beautiful blue eyes! The design comes with an elasticated waist and a pretty crochet trim.

It is a perfect summer dress. It also comes with a button neck fastening. It is light and comfortable for Sienna to play around in which was very important. She looked gorgeous for her birthday celebrations!

Modelling Dress No 2

I wore a Patchwork Maxi Dress with a split hem. I absolutely love this dress – it is the perfect summer dress that you can wear for different occasions. I love the colour as it felt very summery. It matched really well with Sienna’s dress. I felt super comfortable wearing it and the split hem made it even sexier! 😉

I’m sure this is a dress that I will be wearing every time that the sun comes out. The material is very soft to the touch which I like a lot. It has a lightweight fabric and it also has an elasticated waistband that enhances your figure. I love maxi dresses – I always try to get some for my summer wardrobe.

Sienna and I loved wearing these matching dresses. It was very cool to take these photos with her just before we were heading out for lunch to celebrate all the birthdays!

We took these photos in the back garden of my parent’s in law’s house – it was so pretty having that background. I didn’t expect it but the photos came up really nice. I absolutely love spending some time with my daughter having fun playing dress up with her! 😉

Matching Outfit No 3 – Mummy & Sienna

Dresses for matching outfit No 3

The last matching outfit was again with the birthday girl. I’m not sure if you agree with me but I think I left the best for last. This photo does not give it justice but both dresses were beautiful. We went for black and white again but there was more white than black so it looks more natural.

Sienna went to the birthday party of one of her friends from nursery last weekend (her first one) and she wore this dress and she looked amazing. I was so excited to see her going to her first party – oh my goodness, my little girl is growing so fast! Anyway, all the people at the party were complementing her dress. I think she looked super cute in it.

Sienna wore a Floral Striped Dress that comes with a pretty pattern in a striped design with a delightful floral print, this dress is beautifully embellished with a frilly collar and button adornment. It also has button fastenings.

I really love this dress. I think it has so many beautiful details and Sienna looks very smart in it. I also love the pattern a lot.

I wore a Tassel Tie Printed Dress, which was soft to the touch, with lightweight fabric and a tie belt with added tassels to enhance your feminine silhouette. It has a beaded embroidery .

When I chose this dress I was not sure if it would fit all right. When it arrived I must admit I thought it wouldn’t be that good on me but as soon as I tried it on I was in love with it. It is so cute and super comfy. It is very feminine and I felt amazing wearing it – I was so pleased with it!

For this last matching outfit Sienna and I had a photoshoot at home. Daddy took lots of photos of us. I was so happy with them that I couldn’t just choose a couple. It is not easy to have photos with Sienna as she moves a lot but this time it was fun and we both enjoyed it. See below some of the photos we took that day:

I absolutely loved doing this challenge with my girls. It was so much fun. We got to play dress up and keep all those beautiful dresses. What more can we ask for? Now we need to think what the next occasion will be that we can show them off again! 😉

What do you think of our matching outfits? Which do you like the most? Have you done matching outfits with your kids before? What do you thing of George’s dresses? Do you buy clothes for your kids there? Leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

*Disclaimer: we received these outfits in exchange for a blog post. However all opinions and thoughts are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

My favourite is the first one, you and Bella look fab and the sunglasses finish it off perfectly on you both The ones with Sienna are lovely too. I would never think of Asda when looking for an outfit, this has made me think they are definitely worth a look! #KCACOLS

This is adorable – I love the idea of matching mummy and daughter outfits! I am always very impressed with George clothing (quality, choice and cost), I just wish we lived closer to an Asda to be able to take advantage more (I don’t like buying clothes online)! #KCACOLS

That is so cute! I love the shirt dress – it looks fabulous on you! My little girl has made the move from girly pink, princesses to full on Tom Boy. She doesn’t want frills it’s all jeans, t-shirts and trainers, and she’s wearing all her brothers hand-me-downs.

But the George selection is great and you girls are looking awesome!

I must admit I wouldn’t think to go to Asda for clothes, but I do really like the first black and white shirt dress. And the little heart dress is very cute, I wonder if they do it in my size?! 😉

I love the monochrome outfits! I could really see myself wearing the shirt dress, although I’m more a jeans girl if I’m honest. I’ve not done matching outfits with my little girl, but looking at this I think I might have too! #KCACOLS

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
