Hola chicos, at the beginning of last week I published a post about My Goals for 2016 and my first personal goal was losing weight. This is something that is bothering me a lot lately, as I mentioned in that post, I managed to lose about 13 kilos before I was pregnant with my second daughter Sienna. I didn’t gain that weight straight a way but it has definitely been going in the other direction since just before the Summer. Now I have pretty much gained back those 13 kilos!!! 🙁
I feel very disappointed with myself because I didn’t want this to happen. My brain went against what I should actually be doing. It is really a nightmare! Lately I’m starting to feel so uncomfortable with my clothes. I know very well that when you reach this stage you should definitely do something about it.
I have the feeling that starting blogging back in May 2016 didn’t help me as I spent most of my spare time sitting down in front of my laptop which is really bad! I could really use some of that time to be more active I suppose. Now I really want to be more organised. One of the things I also mentioned was to find a balance between my personal life and my blogging life. If I manage to do this I will be able to be healthier.
Also, I need to do this because I’m not only a blogger but a vlogger and there are certain videos that I’m starting to feel uncomfortable to film because of feeling really horrible. I just don’t like looking at myself on camera any more because I start criticising myself. I really feel bad in the videos which doesn’t do any good for my self esteem. I really want to feel confident again but I’m finding it very hard to bring back my will power lately! It is a constant battle and then I just don’t do it any more.
Therefore, you can see I’m in need of a proper plan and I think I have finally found a solution to my problem. I was lucky to be offered the opportunity to try something different. The people from Thinking Slimmer approached me and asked if I’d like to be part of a 12 week program along with a small group of other lovely bloggers who share the same goal as me. They explained to me that this was a different program and that I wasn’t going to be doing a diet. The process is a little bit longer but the results are amazing. As you can see I just had to say YES!! Anything that could help achieve this goal will be welcome for me!! lol.
The program that they were talking about was the Slimpod Gold program, so what is this? Slimpod is a a unique voice recording that you listen to for just nine minutes a day. The programme gently retrains your mind, changing the way you think about food and how you feel about yourself. Slimpods avoid any notion of a diet, instead they gently nudge your unconscious mind towards making better eating choices. Slimpods don’t tell you what to eat or what not to eat but guide your unconscious mind to help it create its own solutions.
I’m very intrigued about this program now. I have been trying it for a few days and have felt some effects but I won’t write anything yet as I will discuss this in more detail in another post. I will try to write about it more often during the 12 weeks so I can update you with my progress, so let’s see if it works!!! Wish me luck! 🙂
Have you heard of the Slimpods from Thinking Slimmer before? What do you think about them? Do you think this is something that you would try? Leave me a comment below as I’m very curious to read what your thoughts are.
*Disclaimer: I received the Slimpod Gold program to try for the period of 12 weeks but everything else is my truly honest opinion.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️
Franca 💋

Firstly, I think you look absolutely beautiful just the way you are 🙂 However I’m so excited to see how you get on and will be following along 🙂 x x
I love Thinking Slimmer, it’s amazing how something so simple is so effective. I look forward to finding out how you get on xx
Ohhhh best of luck lovely!! I would love to hear how you get on! I agree, sitting at the laptop for long periods isn’t good for the figure 🙁
Gemma xx
You’re gorgeous as you are Franca, but good luck with the program. I have never heard of it so I will be really interested to hear how you get on. I am not in a place where I need to diet but that’s purely because I hardly eat (a really bad trait from working in the catering industry for 12 years). I cant wait to see how you get on xx
I think you look fabulous as you are! But everyone has there own levels of comfort around their weight. I have heard great things about Thinking Slimmer – in fact I have heard great things about Thinking Slimmer and just bought the silver package to use with in conjunction with the current diet I’m on. I look forward to reading more xx
Please don’t beat yourself up about your weight, beauty is so much more than the number on the scales. Slim pods sounds like an intriguing concept. I can see that your beliefs and thoughts about food would influence what and how much you eat. I read an interesting book by Paul Mackenna about thinking yourself thin.
I am vlogging too and hate the way i look and feel at the minute. Feeling comfortable with the way we look is very important and something I hope to feel alter on this year. Good luck franca. You can do it. 🙂 P.s I think you look fabulous! Angela
Ah, good luck with it lovely Franca! I’ll be following to see how you get on with the programme.
This weight business is hard work, no matter what you do.
I’m slogging it out at the gym again, but need to get my eating habits sorted out.
Love xx
This sounds interesting. Good luck with your journey.
Thanks for linking up with #justanotherlinky
I’m intrigued. Look forward to seeing the results, but just so you know your beautiful as you are. Thanks for linking up to #justanotherlinky xx
Sounds interesting! Can’t wait to follow your journey and see what you think. I’ve been lucky that I’m more or less back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I know I need to start making healthier choices, because even if it’s not affecting my weight it is definitely affecting my mood and energy levels. #KCACOLS

I have never heard of this but it sounds like a great idea. Good luck with your weight loss but I definitely don’t think you look horrible I’m your pictures/vlogs. I hope the programme helps you get your confidence back xx #kcacols
Best of luck Franca, I know weight can be a battle, I’m afraid I’ve never been on a diet, I think I’m just lucky to love exercise and and outdoor time. #KCACOLS
I’m going to have to say the same as the other lovely ladies and agree that you looks fabulous and you are such a natural in front of the camera! I have never heard of a slimming pod but they seem such a great concept, I can’t wait for your blog post about the program!!! #KCACOLS

My scales are not my friend at the moment so I know what you mean. It’s that point where your clothes start to get a bit uncomfortable that makes you want to do something about it. You look fabulous to me lovely but good for you if you want to try something new. I’ll be interested to see how it works for you. Good luck. Dawn x

I have not heard of that losing weight regimen but I’m all about training the mind to rethink. I am in the process of trying to train my mind to replace alcohol with working out. I never used to crave sugar…EVER…but I’ve noticed since I cut out the drinking that I crave sugar more now so I just don’t keep any of it in the house. Good luck and thanks for hostessing the wonderful #KCACOLS! Trista
Good luck Franca! If you believe this will work then it will. The mind is powerful and by believing the recording will make you make better choices, you unconsciously start making better choices. Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS
Debbie
I think this seems interesting. I’m a firm believer that people’ s bodies and metabolisms are all different, and so different types of diets work for different people. I also believe the mind is a powerful thing, and so if you believe listening to the recording will help you, then it likely will. Sometimes what we need to hear has to come from outside ourselves. I’m on my own fitness journey at the moment, so I wish you best of luck with yours. Will be checking back to see how things go. Be healthy, because you are already beautiful.
Good luck Franca. I am intrigued to hear what these slim pods actually are!
Ooh I’ve heard about something similar over the weekend. Very interested to follow your progress Franca #KCACOLS
I have never heard of these before but they sound great. If they work the way they sound, you should feel naturally like you want to eat healthily. I hope they work, and I look forward to hearing how they make you feel. I can totally relate to the blogging / sitting a lot. It has given me less time for everything else, but primarily movement!!! I am hoping to get more active this January too.
I’m glad #KCACOLS is back, I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year.
Amanda.
I’m not convinced about slimpods but I think anything positive & that helps is good. Wishing you loads of luck & healthy thoughts. I’m a lbs & stones girl though so not entirely sure what 13 kilos is 🙂 #kcacols lifeinthemumslane
Wow, sounds amazing! Good luck indeed. I think half the battle is acknowledging it (with me it is when the jeans get tight!) and then retraining yourself – so this sounds fab. Best of luck xx #KCACOLS
I’ve never heard of Slimpods before! I’m so curious to see how it goes for you. Good luck #KCACOLS
It is all new to me too but it is interesting how you can choose healthier options after listening to the pod a few times! Thanks for commenting, 🙂 x
Best of luck lovey, I’d say don’t get too hung up on weight cause you look beautiful the way you are but I know sometimes it’s about how you feel and what feels right for you so I will just wish your all the best ☺️ Xx #KCACOLS
Good luck lovely. Will definitely be following your progress. Baby number 2 is due a month tomorrow for me, then I’ll definitely be looking to lose some weight myself – baby weight is a nightmare to shift as I found out last time! #KCACOLS
You look gorgeous in the vlogs – you shouldn’t feel bad! I’m always amazed by how ‘together’ you look and wish I could pull it off! #KCACOLS
I’ve never heard of a slimpod? but after the festive season I am definitely no longer at my “target weight” so i’ll be joining you in having a weight loss goal for 2016 x Thanks for hosting another fab #KCACOLS
I think you look great! I can really relate though. I had my second child a year ago. I am diabetic just in pregnancy and but it increases the risk of diabetes eaxh time I am pregnant and my second left me prediabetic – so I have double the reason to lose weight and I still can’t seem to manage it.
The program seems… interesting…but I am not convinced something like that could work. Having said that, nothing else has worked so why not try this?! I will be really interested to see what you think of it.
Can’t wait to hear how it works – would definitely give something like this a go! x #KCACOLS
I agree with the rest – you look beautiful just the way you are. Good Luck, anyway!
#KCACOLS
You are gorgeous Franca and I love how you look in all your blogs. But I know that feeling when you don’y feel comfortable in your clothes. I’m a bit the same at the moment. I’m trying make better decisions about my food too. Snacking on fruit and trying not to have chocolate in the house is my first step. Good luck with the programme and I hope you get the results you are after x #KCACOLS
I will be interested to follow your progress as I am not familiar with Thinking Slimmer. I know what you mean about not feeling right and it doesn’t matter how many people tell you otherwise, you have to feel confident in yourself about the way you look. Despite that, I am still going to tell you that you look fab! I wish you every success with losing the weight that you want (you are determined so I have no doubt that you will) and I know you will then feel so much happier in yourself 🙂 #KCACOLS
Sounds a great idea, good luck with the weight loss programme and I would love to see how you are getting on.
I’m really interested in this concept and to see how you are finding it. I have managed to put on nearly all the weight I lost back in the summer now!!! Arghhh so back to Slimming World again. I know exactly what you mean about clothes being tighter etc. My husband took some photos of some dresses I am reviewing at the weekend and I look absolutely awful in them!!!
Good luck with the programme, sounds really interesting and I’ll be keen to know how you get on! #KCACOLS
Good luck Franca – although you look lovely as you are, I understand that you want to do this for yourself! I am still 1.5 stone heavier than I was before i was pregnant with Arthur, but there are certain things i suspect wont change back, such as my tummy – I suffered from diastasis rectii as Arthur was so big (and I was not) and unfortunately it looks like my stomach muscles may never fully repair from this – not to mention the fact my skin was SO stretched from such a big bump! My rib cage is al so still wider from the pregnancy too. I am still breastfeeding so I wont be dieting at the moment – but before i fell pregnant I did a version of the Dukan diet where i cut out ALL sugar ( even fruit sugars), all processed food and carbs and basically just had loads of fresh vegetables and lean meat and protein. I lost over a stone and felt so healthy and my skin was really clear too – id def try that again! #KCACOLS
Good luck with this honey – it’s always good to have something to aim for. But you are beautiful as you are so don’t put too much pressure on yourself. xx #KCACOLS
This sounds lush! You look fab though darling but I completely get it, I once had a lovely body if that’s not weird to say?! But I’ve just piled so much weight on, I need to change my mindset. Your plan sounds great and I really hope you get the results you’d like, I look forward to updates! #justanotherlinky
I’ve not heard of thinking slimmer. Good luck although I don’t see anything wrong with you but if you’ll feel better then I really hope it helps! xx #KCACOLS
You’re gorgeous as you are Franca, but best of luck with the programme! Weight loss is my current goal too – I’m down 8lbs from New Year’s Day! Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS, fab as ever!!
Awww Franca, you look lovely! Its such a shame to hear that you are not feeling happy with the way you look at the moment. I understand what a big deal this is for any woman so I wish you the best of luck with achieving this goal. The ThinkingSlimmer Slimpods sound very intriguing and I cant wait to hear more about them. The approach sounds very sensible, I guess its just a case of whether it works for you or not, so fingers crossed and all the best! x Emily #KCACOLS
Back in 2002, I managed to lose two stone with WeightWatchers. Since then, I’ve been up and done but never putting on more than a stone.
It’s amazing how much confidence it fills you with, once you do achieve your goal. I guess it’s a sense of achievement with the old I can and I will.
Good luck with this goal and I hope you achieve your target weight.
Best of luck on your new plan! I do Slimming World and love it x #kcacols
I think you look fabulous in your pictures! I know it is so easy to say, but please don’t be hard on yourself. We lead such busy, stressful lives and for me, finding the time to properly organise my exercise and food regime is such a challenge. I haven’t heard of slimpods before so will be watching your progress with interest..good luck! I am interested to know what the foods all taste like as well..?
Losing weight is a big challenge for me too. I am now heavier than I was full term with both pregnancies and this fact has been a shock to the system. I am doing a 100km charity walk in August so the Fitbit is back on and I am braving the cold and going out in the evenings with a torch!
Thanks again for hosting #KCACOLS xxx
